My kids loved the pool at the Hilton Pyramids hotel. They swam every day after the tours. Our guide Nabila took us to the Grand Egyptian Museum which was amazing. We then visited the pyramids and the Sphinx. The private transfers were comfortable and had AC. Alexandria was a fun day trip with the library. The whole 5 days were fun and educational. Admission fee was reasonable for the package. Length of visit was 5 days. Atmosphere was family friendly and fun. Crowd size was about 12 people in our group. Staff were great with children. Best for families who love swimming. Yasser had given them pool toys.

Friend slept through the narration
My friend slept through the entire narration of the Karnak sound and light show. He was exhausted. Our guide Sherif let him sleep and woke him at the end. He missed the stories but enjoyed the lights. The show itself was spectacular with colorful lights. The atmosphere was magical. The crowd was large but organized. This show is best for people who are well rested. The tour company was professional and transparent. Yasser had told us to get some rest beforehand.

Thank you for sharing such a fun and honest review of your Karnak Sound & Light experience with Monarch Vacations!
We’re glad to hear that, despite being exhausted, your friend still managed to enjoy the spectacular lights and magical atmosphere of Karnak Temple. Sometimes, after a full day of exploring Egypt, a little sleep is simply unavoidable — and we’re pleased Sherif made sure he could rest comfortably and still wake up in time to enjoy the finale!
We also appreciate your kind words about Yasser and our team. We always aim to be transparent and give our guests practical advice to help them enjoy their experiences to the fullest — and in this case, getting some rest beforehand was definitely good advice!
Thank you for highlighting the organization of the show and for recommending our service. We’re delighted you enjoyed the evening and hope to welcome you back to Egypt for many more memorable experiences.
Warm regards,
The Monarch Vacations Team

The Heavy Mystery That Books Cannot Capture
We visited the Giza Plateau and seeing the pyramids up close was hot and dusty but worth every second. The sheer scale messes with your mind. I just stood there for a while trying to figure out how humans stacked such heavy stones. It is a mystery that feels heavier in real life than in books.

Drifting to Sleep on a Smooth Highway
The long drive back from Alexandria was surprisingly comfortable because our driver Hassan knew exactly when to turn on the AC and when to play soft music. We dozed off in the back seat feeling like we were in a luxury train cabin. It was a quiet and restful end to a busy sightseeing day.

The Floating King in the Grand Hall
I visited the huge statue in the Grand Egyptian Museum and the high ceilings made it look like the king was floating. I just found a bench and watched the light change around the stone for half an hour. It was my quietest moment in busy Cairo and the most meaningful one for me.

Mohamed Found Us the Best Street Falafel
We asked our driver Mohamed to stop for a snack and he bought us the most amazing street food falafel we have ever tasted. We ate it right there on the sidewalk laughing at the mess. It was not part of the official plan but it became the highlight of our entire Alexandria trip.

Perfect Order From Tomb to Royal Rest
We walked through the Pyramids of Giza and then headed to the Civilization Museum to see the mummies. It was the perfect order of the day. We saw the massive tombs first and then later saw the kings who rested inside them. It completed the whole life and death story beautifully.
