This guided walking tour was a great way to learn about the history and culture of Marseille. Our guide, Caroline was a lot of fun and extremely knowledgeable and definitely proud of her birthplace.

Our walking tour with Caroline was outstanding. It was comprehensive and at exactly the right pace. In her very engaging manner, she revealed so much about the city, its history and its people that I very soon realized I hadn’t allotted nearly enough time to this amazing city. I’ve resolved to return for at least a week to do it justice.

Carolina is a great guide. She is growing up locally and she has a vast knowledge of Marseille. She was patiently introducing us to hidden spots we couldn’t have found by ourselves.

There were only two of us on this tour with Caroline. I really enjoyed it as she focused on history rather than food. I loved her stories and the use of her pictures. She was great and very considerate,waiting for me to take pictures.

Our experience with Caroline as our guide was absolutely wonderful. With excellent English, a great sense of humor, and an incredible knowledge of Marseille as a city as as well as of the people who inhabit it, she showed us all the high points of the city and gave us incredible insight regarding what makes this such a unique and special place. I was not expecting Marseille to be as interesting or diverse, and I was not anticipating such a detailed and in-depth presentation. It was truly wonderful, and I now look forward to the opportunity to return to Marseille again.

Our guide, Charles Mondon, was very good, tour was interesting. Old city and new, residential area. A lot of walking, and we enjoyed it

This experience teaches you about his history of the city and its people.It also teaches that no matter what race you are , you are accepted and they live together as one. The tour guide is very knowledgeable of the city and she takes pride in her city and the work she those.She answers questions when asked and makes you feel comfortable around her with that said I highly recommend anyone to take a tour with her

An Exceptional Tour of Marseille with Charles We had the most wonderful 4-hour walking tour of Marseille with Charles, and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough! Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his city. He brought Marseille’s history and culture to life while taking us through both the old and newer parts of the city. We visited the beautiful Cathedral de la Major, explored the historic streets and then made our way up to the magnificent Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, with its spectacular views over Marseille. What made the tour so special was Charles himself. He was friendly, engaging and genuinely interested in making sure we had a wonderful experience. Nothing felt rushed, and he was happy to answer all our questions and share his local knowledge. Four hours absolutely flew by! We saw so much more of Marseille than we would ever have discovered on our own, and we came away with a real appreciation and love for this fascinating city.
