My friend and I decided to do an excursion last minute and the glacier tour was a perfect choice in terms of value and time. We were heading to Vik and met them at the base of the glacier. I was a bit nervous because I had not packed to do an excursion like this, but I was able to rent hiking boots and waterproof pants, which was great. They provide a helmet, crampons, and an ice pick. They also have you in a harness in case of any emergencies. Our tour guides, Mika and Beda, were great. We had a lot of fun on the tour with Beda, and it was fascinating to be on the glacier. I had heard how dangerous glaciers could be if you go unguided. I never felt unsafe on the tour, but it was fascinating to see the potential for danger in the crevasses and unexpectedly deep water pits. The hike to the glacier was beautiful, but unfortunate, because it highlighted how much it had receded. Highly recommend this experience.

Such an amazing adventure!!! Not going to lie when I was given crampons, an ice axe, helmet, and harness, I was like woah…. WHAT have I signed up for….😁….. but I DID IT!!!! Nate our guide was phenomenal. He led a group of 12 to the top like a true pro. Due to some weather changes the original route was altered and we had to hike around the back of the mountain. Nate was a very knowledgeable guide and talked to us the entire way there and back. I stayed close behind him because it was my/our first glacier hike. At the top it was breathtaking. Totally worth it!!! Highly recommend this hike.

We joined the glacier hike tour on 18 July and found the experience extremely fantastic! Our Guide Georgie was super nice, patient, attentive and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and took good care of the whole group. He was very caring to encourage us to stay calm and keep on when we felt nervous in the beginning. Huge thanks to Georgie for being such a professional and helpful guide, we can’t wait to meet him again soon!

The entire experience was amazing. The two guides, Bea and Georgie were incredible and extremely knowledgeable. They were very patient with one person in our group that did not speak any English, and helped them along the way without disrupting the experience for anyone. Drinking fresh, running glacier water was out of this world. Great tour and highly recommended.

So much fun! Anna and Nate were great guides and very informative. Scenery was amazing. Highly recommend!
