This was a special experience for our family, especially as a safari adventure. Exploring Tanzania’s national parks and watching wildlife together was something we had looked forward to. The trip gave us wonderful memories that we will talk about for years.

Steve was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and had a lot of stories and jokes to tell during the long driving days and made time fly. He prioritized finding animals we hadn't seen yet to make sure we would get the full experience. The highlight was seeing 6 rhinos in the crater on our last day thanks to Steve's timing and persistence! He also helped us with coordinating logistics and finding the best prices and always could find us a washroom easily when needed. The tents and camp were comfortable and even on honeymoon it was a lot of fun and a great experience. We also did the hot air balloon and enjoyed delicious home cooking from Sampson every day. All in all we had a blast!

This has always been an ambition to go on safari and it has certainly been superb. From the moment we were picked up and welcomed by our guide ANTON it has been very memorable. We saw the so called BIG 5 across 3 days with many other animals thrown in.Anton was always well presented, polite and very very helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond for our group of 6 and was a great pleasure to have him as our guide. Nothing was too much for him and he is a massive credit to your Suricata safari company. I would personally recommend your company and anyone to ask for Anton to be there guide. ***** for Anton.

Simon was an amazing safari tour guide during our honeymoon! He took the time to explain the history, behavior, and interesting details about each animal we saw, which made the experience even more special. He also went above and beyond to help us find the Big Five, and we were lucky enough to see them all! 🦁🐘🐆🦏🐃 I would highly recommend Simon to anyone looking for an excellent safari tour guide. If you have Simon as your guide, you’re in great hands!

Our guide Simon and chef Salim that we’re leading the safari can really not be recommended. They obviously did not care about the animals or the experience, and told us they do not like the big 5 - at one point they drove directly into a heard of animals on the road expecting them to move, luckily they did last minute. They didn’t communicate anything at all, so we didn’t feel safe traveling 4-days without receiving any information about what what’s happening when. They clearly got annoyed when we expressed our wishes, as they were not taking us the right places during the game drives, but mainly driving at the main road. We travelled with a young man, that was travelling alone, who was very anxious because they forced him to write 5-star reviews while they were looking, and we weren’t around. And they became angry with him for not giving enough tips, and told him that he should give more. The whole tipping thing made all of us very uncomfortable as it seemed forced, and they became angry for not getting a certain amount. The whole vibe was just very off on the whole safari.

We had a marvellous safari over six days in a jeep. We saw many animals of the savannah, elephants, lions, cheetah, rinocerous, dik dik, gazelles, hippopotamus, birds of all kinds, baboons and monkeys. It was great but I have to say that six days being jolted around in a jeep are a bit too much, however the discomfort was compensated by seeing all the wonderful animals.

For a « budget safari », this trip completely exceeded my expectations. Our guide Gerald made the trip unforgettable, and had a real talent for finding the animals and positioning the car to give us the best view. The meals prepared by the chef were delicious, some of the best food I’ve had in Tanzania, and the camping experience was really unique. I got to meet lots of other cool travelers and the whole Suricata team was very organised and welcoming. I would 100% recommend.

Having done a few safaris around Africa, I can confidently say this was the best. Our guide Gerald for Days 1 to 3 was superb. He knew exactly where to go in the parks to find the animals we had told him we wanted to see, and we got up close with the Big 5 and Ugly 5, including watching two hunts, one involving lions and another involving a leopard. He spent long days driving between parks while maintaining a great attitude and positive energy throughout. The food also exceeded our expectations. Every meal was hot and there was a good selection each time. The tents were large and comfy, all set up ahead of our arrival. On Day 4 (12/09/2026), we were given a new guide, vehicle and group. The vehicle had a row of three seats at the back, and I ended up in the middle. The open sides helped offset this somewhat, although on a few occasions the vehicle was positioned in a way that made it harder for those of us at the back to see the wildlife, and we had to ask the driver to move. There were also a few occasions where we would have liked to spend a little longer watching some amazing wildlife, but the guide moved on (maybe time pressure?). On another occasion, he asked if we wanted to stop and watch some wildlife, we said yes, and he continued driving. These were only minor points, but worth mentioning. Overall, this was an incredible safari and I would highly recommend Suricata. Days 1 to 3 in particular were exceptional, and Gerald was a fantastic guide who really helped make the experience so memorable. The wildlife, food, organisation and overall experience were all excellent, and we would happily do it again.
