The timing worked really well for us. We got to see a good mix of the city without spending the whole time. Worrying about where to go next. Helsinki has a really nice feel to it, with the old architecture, open spaces and waterfront areas all giving the city a different vibe.

I liked that the tour finished with enough time to get back towards the cruise port instead of making us stress about the ship's departure four hours isn't enough to see every corner of Helsinki, but for a cruise stop, it gave us a pretty good introduction to the city.

Our Helsinki tour was very informative. The only problem is that our travel guide left our tour at the end and we were unable to thank her. But overall, would highly recommend this tour.

We also learned about the acoustics, which made the visit even more interesting. Later we had time around Market Square, where we enjoyed trying some Finnish specialties. Having an opportunity to taste local food rather than just take photographs made the stop more memorable. The whole experience felt fairly relaxed. There was enough information to keep us interested but also enough breathing room to enjoy ourselves and take pictures. For a cruise excursion, the timing worked particularly well. We knew that getting back to the ship on time was important, and the schedule was organized around that. We left Helsinki with plenty of photos, a few new food favorites, and some good memories together.

The rock architecture was completely different from anything we had seen before, and the inside was beautiful and peaceful. Tour Cancellation — Very Disappointing Experience I highly suggest booking a similar tour in Helsinki with another excursion company. We booked this tour through TripAdvisor weeks in advance, only to have it cancelled the day before because they didn’t have enough participants. What was most disappointing was that they did not appear to consider or honor the people who had already booked well in advance. They also did not call or reach out to offer us another option or help us find a similar tour with another local excursion company. Given the number of tour operators in Helsinki, I would have expected at least an attempt to provide an alternative. Unfortunately, this left us scrambling at the last minute and disrupted our plans. Again, I hope this doesn’t happen to you. My recommendation is to book with another company that will stand behind your reservation and provide better customer service.
