We had a terrific tour of Santorini and absolutely loved every minute of it. I've been there once before and enjoyed that very much but this was much, much better. My adult daughter was along and she said that Santorini is now her favorite place on earth, and that was in a large part due to our great guide.

Truly wonderful- an above and beyond experience
5/5. Kathrin was our lovely tour guide for the day, who took my mother (who has Motor Neurone Disease) and I around the island and explained so much about the geography of the area, the way in which Santorini has come to be today, and general knowledge about the people and the environment. She was so friendly, kind and so helpful with my mother. She brought a wheelchair along, as my mother’s ability to walk is very limited, and was happy to push the wheelchair as I took photos along the way. She took photos of us together to help us remember our holiday and showed me where to get a photo of the famous blue domes of Santorini while she kept my mother company. To top it off, she took us to a bar that serves the most delicious local wine which we both very much enjoyed.
Travelling with my mother has been difficult due to her limitations, and Kathrin made it possible for my mother to experience the island in a way she wouldn’t have otherwise. We had a truly wonderful day and are both so, so grateful to you Kathrin - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this experience possible for us. We will never forget it.

Private Santorini Tour
If you are going to Santorini hire Santorini Experts to help make your limited amount of time the most efficient. We had a marvelous guide who picked us up in her air conditioned car up at the top of the cable car and spent 4 hours with us showing us much more of the island than other visitors would ever see.

Not a easily as was told.
Although I was aware that Santorini would be difficult to see as I'm wheel chair bound with very very limited walking, I didn't realize or was informed that it would be virtually impossible.
Elle, our guide was knowledgeable, however, she talked a lot about the wineries, repeatedly, and about, well we can't go here cause you can't walk, and we can't do this because you can't walk. Why advertise a wheelchair tour if it is not actually wheelchair friendly?
Also, I needed a WC while there and was originally told there was none available for me to use because of stairs and then she found one in a public parking lot.
If you are going to do wheelchair tours, these are things that maybe you should know?
I fully admit what we were able to see was beautiful and I'm glad we were able to see something as we drove by.
Also a warning of the HUGE hill to get the car and be dropped off would have been nice. I had to walk it and it about killed me.
A few more stops for pictures would also have been nice, or at least slow down so pictures could be taken from the car.

Santorini is, unfortunately, one of the most difficult Greek islands to navigate for guests with mobility issues due to its many pedestrian-only areas, steep inclines, and steps. This is why we clearly state that our wheelchair-accessible tours visit only locations that are accessible by vehicle and without stairs. If guests request sites outside of these accessible areas, our guides explain why they are unfortunately not feasible to visit.
Regarding your specific situation, your wheelchair required manual pushing, and given your husband’s and our guide’s physical limitations, it was not possible to manage short slopes or distances on foot. We did our best to adapt the itinerary so you could enjoy as much as possible from the comfort of the vehicle, making picture stops where safely possible. However, due to Santorini’s busy traffic and narrow streets, it is not always possible to stop in certain places without creating safety risks.
As for restroom access, Santorini has very few wheelchair-accessible facilities. This is why we took you to the nearest one available, even though it required a short drive. We know exactly where these facilities are located and always aim to bring guests to the most suitable option for their needs.
We are sorry that you experienced difficulty with the slope near the drop-off point. This is the closest possible access point for vehicles in the area, but we understand it was still challenging.
We value your feedback, as it helps us continue improving how we communicate these limitations before the tour. Our goal is always to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for all guests, even within Santorini’s accessibility constraints.

Best tour with breathtaking views of Santorini!
Wonderful day spent with my family and Kathrin from SantoriniExperts! She was an awesome driver and tour guide in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle taking us to the best spots for pictures of the breathtaking views of the island. Santorini is such a beautiful place!!! Our tour guide/driver was Kathrin and she was amazing & very patient with us from start to finish. Accessible Santorini Experts Tour
Really wanted to see some of Santorini from our cruise, but most tours said not accessible and we almost gave up!
I emailed Santorini Experts and they came up with a perfect 4 hour, personalised tour for us!
Kathrin was our driver / tour guide, she was the perfect host, made every aspect seamless, from pre-advice regarding the cable car, meeting us and dropping us off at the end.
Kathrin has a wealth of knowledge regarding Santorini and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Santorini Experts, especially if you have accessible needs.

A breath taking tour of Santorini
If you want to take a "quick view of Santorini" with beautiful views and interesting history, this tour should not be missed. Elena from Santorini's Luxury Travel was our guide, assisted by George our driver. They gave us a wonderful never to forget tour. They know all about the island and tailored the tour to our interests. Made sure we had pictures of all the beautiful sights. Don't miss this!
