We had not decided what kind of activities we would be spending on the day, so we had a consultation about the plan and got on board. They also smoothly agreed to us on WhatsApp and offered us a city tour, and we started with a hotel pick-up in no time. The kind and attentive guide explained the historical and religious implications of each one in an easy-to-understand manner, and although it may be a site that can be traveled by itself over a distance, I am really glad I asked him to be my guide.

Had a 3.5 hour tour with a guide from Exoticca. We got picked up by bus at our hotel and taken to the historic district. Was a very nice walking tour that also included the cathedral. Enjoyed it!!

This is a great tour for your first day in Cusco as you try to acclimatise. The tour covered many spots important to the history of the Inkas, starting with the Cathedral and Korikancha by walk. We were taking by bus to the rest of the sites. Our guide was Beto, who was wonderful, knowledgeable about the history and his affection and passion for history and culture really shines through. However tour took longer than planned, and was entirely in Spanish as our group consisted of Spanish speakers. I am only conversational in Spanish so missed out on a lot of the detail. I was also incorrectly recommended to buy entrance tickets at the venue instead of the comprehensive ticket at the tourist office as I had planned originally. It would have been more economical to do that so if you are new to Cusco, I highly recommend buying the ticket at the office. Pick up and drop from Central plaza, not at my hotel.

This was more of an introduction tour. This included visit to the sites in and around the city of Cusco. The person who guided us covered every bit in detail and it was more like story telling. We did this while we were acclimating in Cusco which in my opinion is the best thing we did.
