アテネのアクロポリスは、海抜 156 メートル、アテネ市の高さ約 70 メートルの岩の丘です。パルテノン神殿は、アテネ市の守護神である女神アテナに敬意を表して建てられた神殿です。働いた建築家は、イクティノス、カリクラティス、そしておそらくフィディアス (紀元前 5 世紀) でした。最後に、有名なカリアティディスとプロピュライアのあるエレクテイオンをご覧ください。

ディオニュソス劇場は、アテネにある古代ギリシャの劇場です。アクロポリスの丘の南斜面に建てられており、もともとはディオニュソス エリューテウスの聖域の一部でした。
ヘロディオンとも呼ばれるヘロデス アッティカスのオデオンは、アクロポリスの南西斜面に位置する石造りのローマ劇場の建造物です。

4. アクロポリスと同様、オリンピアのゼウス神殿は太古の昔からアテネの特徴的なランドマークでした。オリンピアのゼウスの柱、屋外の古代アテナ神殿。オリンピアのゼウス神殿は、オリンピアの神々の長であるゼウスに捧げられた半分完成した神殿です。印象的な歴史と破壊により、この遺跡は研究するのに興味深いものとなっており、その規模は人気の観光スポットとなっています。カリマルマロ スタジアム、ハドリアヌスの凱旋門、ザッピオン メガロンなどの他の記念碑に囲まれています。アテネ中心部から徒歩圏内、アクロポリスから東に 500 m、シンタグマ広場から南にあります。
ハドリアヌスの凱旋門は、ギリシャ語でハドリアヌスの門として最も一般的に知られており、ある点ではローマの凱旋門に似ている記念碑的な門です。この道路は、ギリシャのアテネの中心部から、オリンピアのゼウス神殿を含む市の東側の建造物群まで古代の道を延びていました。
ザッピオンは、ギリシャのアテネ中心部にあるアテネ国立庭園に隣接する大きな宮殿のような建物です。通常、公式および私的な会議や式典に使用され、市内で最も有名な近代的なランドマークの 1 つです。
国立庭園またはロイヤル ガーデンは、ギリシャの首都の中心部にある公共公園 (38 エーカー) です。ギリシャ国会議事堂 (旧宮殿) の真後ろに位置し、カリマルマロの向かいにあるザッピオンのあるエリアまで南に続いています。庭園にはいくつかの古代遺跡もあり、その横には初代ギリシャ総督ヨアニス・カポディストリアス、ギリシャ国民賛歌の作者で有名なギリシャの詩人ディオニシオス・ソロモス、アリストテリス・ヴァラオリティスのフィルヘレン・ジャン＝ガブリエル・エイナードの胸像もあります。
ギリシャ議会はギリシャの国会であり、アテネの憲法広場を見下ろす国会議事堂 (旧王宮) に位置する印象的な建物です。ギリシャ国会、シンタグマ広場にあるオトン王の旧宮殿、大統領衛兵が24時間警備する無名戦士記念碑。
シンタグマ広場はアテネの中心広場です。この広場は、1843 年 9 月 3 日の人民蜂起と軍事蜂起の後に初代ギリシャ国王オットーが認可する義務を負った憲法にちなんで名付けられました。この広場は、19 世紀に建てられた旧王宮の前に位置し、以来ギリシャ議会が置かれています。 1934 年。シンタグマ広場は、商業活動とギリシャ政治の中心であり、歴史的および社会的な観点から見て現代アテネの最も重要な広場です。

アテネ国立カポディストリアン大学 (NKUA) は、現代ギリシャの知的伝統、生活、そして国際的な存在感にとって不可欠な部分です。それは、古くから確立された名声と権威を、現代の文学と科学におけるダイナミックな発展と創造的な参加とうまく組み合わせています。この国で最も古い大学であり、近代ギリシャの初代国王であるバイエルンのオットーが創立者であったことから、1837 年 4 月 22 日の国王令により「オトーニアン大学」の名で設立されました。当初、この学校は 4 つの学校 (神学、法学、医学、哲学、後者は当時まだ数学と応用科学で構成されていた) で構成され、学生数は合計 52 人でした。その最初の場所は、アクロポリスの丘の北斜面にある新古典主義の家で、元々は建築家スタマティス・クリーンティスの家でした（現在は大学歴史博物館がそこにあります）。
プラトニックアカデミー、または単に「アカデミー」は、紀元前428年/ 427年にプラトンによって設立された古代アテネの有名な学校で、伝説の英雄、アカデモの後、アカデミアという名前の古代都市の数マイルの外側にありました。
国立図書館 (ヴァリアンイオン) この輝かしい新古典主義の閲覧室には、かつて 200 万冊以上の書籍と写本が保管されており、その中には 300 冊以上のギリシャ語新約聖書写本やアリストテレス、プラトン、ホメロスの作品の手書きの演奏を含む 5,200 点の写本が含まれていました。

賑やかなモナスティラキは、ハドリアヌス図書館の遺跡、古代アゴラ、再建されたアッタロスのストアなどの象徴的なランドマークで知られ、博物館にはアテナイの工芸品が展示されています。
かつて市内で最も豪華な公共建築物だったハドリアヌス図書館は、西暦 132 年頃に建てられました。内部には 100 本の柱で囲まれた中庭とプールがあります。
アゴラは、古代ギリシャの都市国家の中心的な公共空間でした。これは、ポリスの社会的および政治的秩序に対応するための都市国家の対応を最もよく表しています。 「アゴラ」という言葉の文字通りの意味は、「集まる場所」または「集会」です。
アッタロスのストアは、ギリシャのアテネのアゴラにあったストアです。紀元前 159 年から紀元前 138 年まで統治したペルガモン王アッタロス 2 世によって建設され、その名にちなんで名付けられました。

We had a seamless pick up at the port, tour of Athens highlighted by the Acropolis and the changing of the guard at the President's palace. Our driver, Andreas, was prompt, informative, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We were dropped off at our hotel in the heart of Monastiraki Square at the end of the tour. We also used Greece Athens Taxi for the ride back to the airport. Again, prompt and courteous service. Very reasonably priced, too.
Aris was fabulous!! We had the best time and he truly tailored the tour to where we wanted to go! He was very knowledgeable and knew the area so well. Can’t recommend this tour enough!!

Great tour and great tour guide. They prebooked tickets for us at the acropolis. We stopped for the changing of the guard and the Olympic stadium. Andreas our wonderful tour guide even took us the city to walk around and eat! I highly recommend this tour with Andreas!

We were shown around Athens by Andreas who was our tour guide. It was wonderful to visit the Acropolis, the Olympic stadium and witness the change of guards during our tour. Andreas enlightened us on the city’s history and also took us to the topmost point from where we could have a bird’s eyeview of the city with the Aegean sea below. It was surreal. What a wonderful day! Our driver, Andreas, picked us up as we disembarked our cruise ship, bringing us a Greek treat for breakfast. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable and was intent on showing us Athens. He drove us around the city pointing out ancient treasures and modern developments. Of course we saw the Parthenon and Acropolis, but he also took us to see the Olympic stadium, the guards at the President’s house, and the new library and complex. It was a great day!

Our Athens tour was one we will long remember. Our wonderful tour guide, Andreas, made seeing Athens an absolute treat. He has a great personality and is very knowledgeable about Athens and what the best highlights are. We are both seniors and it was so helpful to be driven to see the sights as our mobility is limited. Seeing all of Athens wonders like the Acropolis and Parthenon, the Olympic stadium the changing of the guards at the President's mansion among several others gave us an awesome insight of this beautiful city. Punctual to start, then to top that , the minibus was very well outfitted for our group of eight. All this made for a most comfortable ride and thus were able to absorb the wealth of information Kostas was eagerly disseminating. My family and I took a 4 hour private tour with Andreas. He was knowledgeable about the sites and the history of Athens. He made us feel welcome and catered the stops to our interests. At each location he knew the best spots to get the best views and avoid the crowds. I would highly recommend this private 4 hour tour.
