Wonderful 9-day experience, all perfectly coordinated, and permanent communication for each day of activity, with the Guides, and the assigned assistant... They were very understanding of the current political situation in Peru. I was extremely impressed with their customer service and attentiveness. I would highly recommend booking with this company rather than the larger tour operators.
At first...I thought this was a large international tour package. It is actually a very small local guide. That has made all the difference. I can not tell you how my expectations were completely overshadowed by how well the leader (Johnny) set up and panned every detail. The trip turned out to much more a physical challenge for me than I expected. I have been a smoker for 35 years (I have quit). The guide stuck with me and encouraged me the entire time. He was great! I would have never gotten that type of support from a large national tour. The food was the best you will get on any tour of this area. My guide insisted on hand picking the chef that came along. Simply fantastic! For me this was a life moving experience, I couldn't be more happy to have done it with the 3 people directly involved on the trek. Before you book with ANY agency (Life Adventures, G Adventures, etc.)....check out the itinerary for this trek....you will see how much specific thought goes into every detail with these guys. This is not just a job for Johnny (the leader/guide), this is his life and he takes so much pride in every aspect. I would rate this company a 6 if I could. Brandon
