This was such a fun tour. We saw many of the places where iconic scenes from the movie were filmed. Our guide Elvis shared lots of behind the scenes tidbits of information that really added to our enjoyment. He even played some of the songs from the movie soundtrack as we drove and we all sang along. All in all a fun day!
Well organized and narrated. Glad that singing was pretty optional. I sang but my husband was not really into that.
A really good informative tour which was only marred by the weather. However that didn’t deter our driver/guide Elvis who was very good.
This tour could be shortened and just go to a few major spots rather than the lakes area in the countryside.
We do drive out into the lake countryside specifically to include Basilika St.Michael "the wedding church" — it's one of the most-loved highlights of the tour for many guests, so we've kept the route built around it rather than cutting it for a shorter, city-only version. Small tour with 6. Tour guide was very informative and fun to be with. Got to see all the key spots in the filming. Guide knew lots of great background stories. Music while traveling.
This was an excellent tour, Jacob our guide was very considerate, knowledgeable and entertaining. I loved getting outside of the city and it was great to see the lakes and the countryside. All the visits to the filming locations were explained and we were given plenty of time at each site. Jacob played interviews with the cast and director which I as really interesting, as well as the film music. I would highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I had a wonderful Sound of Music tour with our amazing guide Jakob! We love that we visited different film locations and learned about the making of the film. He also explained and showed photos of the real Von Trapp family. Jakob was very knowledgeable and funny. We love that it was a very small group. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful experience with Bob’s Tours in Salzburg on their Sound of Music tour. From beginning to end, the tour was extremely well organized, enjoyable, and a great way to experience Salzburg and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Our tour guide, Jacob, was exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. His knowledge of The Sound of Music, Salzburg, and the locations we visited made the experience so much more interesting and memorable. He was also very attentive to everyone in our group and made the entire tour feel relaxed and personal. The scenery was spectacular, the stops were well chosen, and we came away with a much greater appreciation for both the movie and this beautiful part of Austria. We would highly recommend Bob’s Tours, and especially Jacob, to anyone visiting Salzburg. It was one of the highlights of our visit and absolutely deserving of five stars

Me and my daughter did this trip with Francesca. We absolutely loved it, we visited lots of filming locations and learned so much about the making of the film and the proper Von Trapp family. Francesca was so knowledgeable and made the trip fun. The small group was a bonus when visiting the sights. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Five stars all the way
