Highly recommended tour guide for a budget tour of the Masai Maara. We had an incredible guide Freddy who made sure that we had a memorable trip of a lifetime.

Aanika safaris was a extremely pleasent experience for me. The guides where fun and knowledgeable, the stay was very romantic and layed back and the staff extremely friendly and charming. The Village feels very down to earth and the food is very good. It is actually very cheap but you get everything you want and i would prefer it to an expensive place because it is easy to talk to the people that live there and understand there experience of life and also it is much more quit. 10 out of 10 loved it.

We had an absolutely exceptional experience thanks to this safari agency! We went on a 2-night, 3-day safari to Masai Mara Park, as a family with our 3 young children, and everything was perfectly organized and customized. A huge thank you to the whole team for this impeccable organization. A very special mention to our French-speaking guide, Stephen, who was remarkably kind, always respectful, passionate, and possessed an impressive knowledge of the fauna, flora, and ecosystem of the Masai Mara. Thanks to him, every safari was a true nature lesson. A big bravo also to our driver, Diano, a true expert. He masters his vehicle to perfection, knows the park like the back of his hand, and drives with great caution. His patience and professionalism largely contributed to making our stay unforgettable. We stayed at the Jambo Mara Lodge, a very beautiful lodge with comfortable rooms and a perfectly decent restaurant. It was an excellent choice for our family. The value for money is simply unbeatable. Before booking, I had requested more than 10 quotes from different agencies, and none offered such a complete service at this price. The only small point that could be improved concerns the lunch boxes, which would benefit from being a bit more varied and of better quality. In summary, I recommend this agency with my eyes closed. If you are looking for a perfectly organized safari, with an exceptional team and excellent value for money, you will not be disappointed!

One of the most exhilarating aspects was witnessing the full “Big Five"—lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and rhinoceroses. Observing these majestic animals in their natural habitats was both humbling and inspiring. Traveling through different parks provided diverse perspectives on Africa’s wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation efforts. A practical takeaway for prospective safari-goers is to pack warmly for the evenings. Despite Africa’s sunny reputation, the desert air cools considerably at night, especially after long days on open game drives. Layered clothing proved invaluable for comfort and enjoyment.

We have just completed tours of the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Our guide, Steven, ensured that this was an experience of a lifetime. Following transfer from Nairobi to the Masai Mara we did a four hour game drive. During this time we saw many animals including a lion and cheetah. Steven was sure to get as close as possible to the animals whilst not disturbing them. The cheetah walked straight towards us and sat so close you could have reached out and touched it. Incredible to be so close to an animal usually only seen on the television. Day two was an all day game drive. Again we saw many animals. We managed to see a glimpse of the elusive leopard. This only happened after Steven's persistence and determination to help us see as much as possible. We managed to see a cheetah hunt and catch a hare and seen hyena bloodied after a recent kill. We also saw a lion hunt and three adorable lion cubs. We then transferred to Lake Nakuru. During our game drive at the lake we managed to see a black rhino and several white rhinos. This completed our sightings of The Big Five. Steven was superb throughout. He was friendly, informative and enthusiastic. He went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and provide information. A truly amazing experience and memories to last a lifetime.

Before and after booking we received good and quick answers to our questions, payment worked without problems via payment link. We had some adjustments with where we wanted to be picked up and dropped off after booking, no problems changing. Our driver/guide Edward was very good to talk to and knew everything and everyone along the entire trip from Nairobi and all the way into Masai Mara. (During the trip I spoke to several people independently of each other who spontaneously congratulated us on the guide we had and we were not disappointed!) The most important part during a safari like this is to have a driver who has contacts and knows where the animals are, he was always on top of that. Before our safari it had rained a lot and there were challenges to get around in the terrain on many occasions, he always solved that even if it was sometimes really muddy and difficult to drive. The only Big-five animal we did not see was the Rhino, the scenes were at times like in Jurassic Park :) We had a Toyota Landcruiser 4x4 which is reliable and gets around well, which was important in the conditions we had. I can highly recommend Aanika Karibu Safaris!

We spent 3 nights / 4 days visiting Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha. Everything was perfectly organized, and our driver Ben was excellent – professional, knowledgeable, and very kind. Highly recommend this agency for a smooth and unforgettable safari experience!

The whole experience with Aanika Karibu Safaris was awesome, from the initial communication with Robert to the safari in Masai Mara with the fantastic guides Paul and Terrance, who shared a lot of information about the reserve, the animals and made sure that everyone had the opportunity to see the Big Five :)
