Any tour that starts with handshakes and ends with hugs is a pretty good tour in my book. So it is with Edwin and his beautiful Quito food tour. His love for the city and its food is as real as it gets, but it is the relationships that he has cultivated that truly make this a memorable experience. And for the few hours you are walking the streets of Quito with him you get a front row seat to those relationships. My family and I had one real day in Quito during our visit to Ecuador and I cannot think of a better way to have spent it. We had different dietary needs and interests and there was something for everyone. Edwin really does tailor the tour to the group’s interests and is so good about dietary restrictions. We were all raving about the experience for days after and I know it will be an enduring family memory for us. There are so many specific things I could get into about our experience but I would not want to reveal too much about Edwin’s secret sauce! Let’s just say that he builds anticipation well and has some wonderful tricks up his sleeve. But they aren’t tricks really. They are simply the result of his warm personality and caring heart. He treats you as a friend introducing you to other friends and the feeling that leaves you lasts long after the delicious food has been consumed.

Great experience, loved not having to search for foods or find places. The stops accommodated everyone in the group from gluten and dairy free to vegan. We also learned history and culture along the way and all the walking helped get us oriented around the city

Simply brilliant. Edwin is a fantastic guide, funny, passionate, and knows Quito, its history, its best spots, and its huecas like the back of his hand. This tour is a great idea for discovering Quito and Ecuadorian cuisine. Go for it with your eyes closed... but your stomach empty 😉😁.

Edwin was fantastic taking us to all the secret holes in the wall eateries with beautiful family cooking. Cheap delicious food and great company loved it.

Edwin’s walking tour was a great day out and gave us confidence in finding hidden gems in small family restaurants. Yummy food, lots of info and chocolate shop tasting tour was so fascinating. Thank you Edwin! Highly recommend- Edwin is a really easy going local and knows all the best spots.

Edwin is very knowledgeable and can answer questions besides food. Every where we went he was greeted with open arms. This was a little different food tour as you paid for the food but only was about $10. The upside was you at several places you ordered what you wanted. Our tour was longer than 3 hours but we took our time and Edwin did not rush us. We certainly went to places we wouldn’t have found on our own. Fantastic food tour and guide.

Thank you Edwin for an amazing tour, it was incredible getting to go and experience a truly authentic local food experience! This tour covers spots that are not aimed at tourists and are all locally owned and operated, not only did this give me a great inside into the local cuisine but also ended up being super cheap (good and drinks cost around $10 in total). It was amazing to also have the history of the city and peoples tied into the different foods, this gave a real meaning to each dish and covered why it is important to the local culture. I 100% recommend this tour to everyone who comes to Quito!
