What a great experience, must do! The guide, group, accomodation and food was great. Specially the desert was amazing. We stayed in tents and did a camel ride twice. Thanks all!
Everything happened within what was presented! The responsible and attentive driver. Hotel (we upgraded) clean and dinner very good. Dromedalium tour was fabulous. I recommend!
The itinerary is solid and you will cover a number of must visit places along Marrakech to Merzouga. The tour driver, Mohamed, is excellent in all aspects. We spent considerable amount of our 3 days tour travelling on the road and I have observed that our driver knows the road very well and he drives carefully. He speaks good English and is hilarious at same time. He cracks jokes every once in a while and they are really funny. He explains the itinerary at the start of the day, he talks about the history of the places we visit, so this guy is all in one. During our trip, we came across other tourists who moaned about their driver who was rude, always shouts when calling out late tour members, doesn't speak good english etc. so I guess we were really lucky to have Mohamed as our tour driver. The van is comfortable and there is no problem for people with large legs. The drive from one one place to another takes around 2-3 hours, there are stops in between but I suggest you manage your toilet breaks and stash some food and bring water in your bag to avoid any inconvenience. In some parts of the tour, we met with local tour guides who showed us around the place. We paid 20 dirhams for this and I don't really mind this amount knowing it helps them. The local guides will lead you to shops selling various items from scarves, soap and perfumes to wool carpets. You should be careful when dealing with them because although they will encourage you haggle they can use tactics to appeal to your emotion and in the end, you will be persuaded to pay a handsome price. Saw this a number of times and an experienced traveller will notice the same for sure. The desert tour I think is the highlight of the tour. We had a two or two and a half camel ride in the desert before arriving to our camp in Sahara. My wife and I opted for a private tent and it was nice and comfy. The dinner in the camp is o.k, but other members of the tour didn't like it. We had chicken tangine, some bread, pasta and seasonal fruits. I guess you just have to lower your expectations as there is no chef in the middle of the desert. After the meal, we gathered around the bonfire and spent some time listening to the beats of the drum and Moroccan percussion instrument which I don't remember what it is called. The sky was so clear you can see the milky way and even the faintest star.Truly a must experience when you to go to Morocco. Although it was a pleasant trip for us, I suggest you do your own research. There are trips which give you option for hotel or tent upgrade during the trip, check if it is worth paying extra. If you have time, try to go around other shops before buying anything to get the best price.
We had en EXCELLENT driver. without him it would have been a bad trip. we lucked out. A lot of other people said their driver was bad, and it seems that it is 50/50. you will need to know that every stop you make on this trip revolves around them making money and helping each other out. if you get on this trip you will have to be a true traveler, who is used to unexpected scenarios that are not listed on their website. Here are key points to prep you: 1. No cost of any drinks is included anywhere. you have to pay for anything you drink including water. 2. The waiters and the service at the lunch place you will go to after ouarzazate is GARBAGE. 3. The buses and the mini vans are very nice and super super comfortable. 4. The food at the hotel you will stay in the first night is just OK. not enough and wont fill you at all. The hotel itself is just about average, but everyone is very nice. 5. You WILL pay for the guide on the second day, even if you dont want to. The website said this is optional. it is not. 6. The night at the desert is the highlight, and it is super amazing. My 2 cents is to pay the extra $100 for the upgraded tents. It is much much worth it. My group was separated to the lower tier, and the next morning we compared what we went through, so believe me if you are paying the money you might s well do it right.. 7. In fes we got dropped off in the center to be on our own, not at our hotels. this was very disappointing, but didnt upset me as i was really lucky and my riad was a few blocks away. Others were very far and were pissed. The site lied.. overall i do recommend them. go for it, but dont believe everything on their site.
The tour is exactly valuable with very nice driver! We even took the photos of stars in Sahara! Although the trip is long distance, it's really comfortable with a minivan.
The arrangement really smooth. We get to see all the attraction as per itinerary and the accommodation was so great. Thanks to our driver, hafid. He was so good and profesional. He is very helpful and also able to communicate in english. Highly recommended!
This team are very friendly and profissional, and they gave to us the best choice for this tour. We recommend 100%
We made the plans with Mohammed in his Marrakech office and he was very patient listening to our wish list and proposing excellent options. We had a fantastic time traveling with Ali. He was punctual, reliable, and went beyond his way to accommodate our plans. We travelled in a comfortable van with my 2 children (7 and 10). The places were we stop for lunch were reasonably priced for a great meal. Many interesting stops to explore Moroccan crafts and bathroom breaks. We had a wonderful time despite booking this tour at the last minute. I am looking forward to return for more!!!
