The dehli leg was basically a drive around town, the amritsar leg consisted of one driver who spoke no English at all. Really could have done everything on our own much cheaper. No guide. Besides the train all the sites were free.
<p>On the first morning we were taken by our driver Aneil and shown some of the sights of Delhi. In the afternoon he took us to the station in good time for our train to Amritsar. It was quite a long train journey, but well worth it. The Golden Temple should be one of the seven modern wonders of the world. Oddly enough it is only a few streets away from third world back streets where poverty and filth abound. In the evening we were driven to the Wagah border between India and Pakistan to watch the flag lowering ceremony which proved to be very interesting. On our arrival back in Delhi on the third day Aneil our Delhi driver was waiting on the platform for our train to arrive, standing at the exact point at which our carriage drew in. He then showed us round the Delhi sights which we had not seen on the first day. In all it was an unforgettable experience.</p>
