A superb trip…..tightly organised but unhurried. Travel…accommodation…choice of sights …commentary…all far exceeded expectation. Our guide,Scott, displayed excellent driving skills, provided clear explanations and directions throughout. His commentary was both knowledgeable and humorous. Everyone felt relaxed and confident. He managed to cater for a diverse group of people , taking time to make sure that everyone’s needs were met.

Jillian was excellent in both driving and navigating during our trip. Great local history stories and interesting cultural education.

Very well organized trip to the stunning Isle of Skye. Our driver and tour guide Tongs was amazing and took care of everything very well. We started on time and covered everything that was planned. The B&B in Portree was pretty good and was located in the middle of the town close to the restaurants and stores. Isle of Skye is a must visit destination for nature lovers. An absolute must do trip!

Our three-day Edinburgh, Isle of Skye, Highlands, and Loch Ness tour was absolutely exceptional. Neil was an outstanding driver and guide—knowledgeable, entertaining, and passionate about sharing Scotland’s history and culture. His stories, humor, and local insights made every mile memorable. The scenery was breathtaking, the itinerary was well planned, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Neil!

This was ana amazing trip to the Isle of Skye!! Michelle was an incredible tour guide, and Timberbush tours was fantastic. I never would have thought we could see so many amazing places in 3 days, but it was fun and not too busy. It included some hiking but that was always optional.

I opted for the 3 day tour into isle of Skye in July. The tour included 2 night stay in a comfortable B&B in Porttree. The trip is well organized with lots of stops to take pictures, stroll, coffee/bathroom breaks and also lunch. I think it was well paced. Neil is an amazing guide! He’s a local who is also passionate about Scotland. Lots of great banter and sarcastic humor. He truly made the trip fun! Make sure to pack comfortable water proof shoes, pants and jackets. Weather can be unpredictable. Some locations might get skipped during the tour because of inclement weather. If you’re debating don’t think twice and just book the 3 day tour. I liked that I didn’t have to worry about driving and parking situation. This is great for traveling solo or even with a small group! Driving through the highlands was an unforgettable experience for me

Wow we absolutely LOVED this tour! Neil was so amazing!! He made the trip fantastic. His storytelling was phenomenal and we got so much more out of the trip than if we did it on our own. Everything was well paced and we feel like we saw so much in three days. Neil was patient, funny, and honestly just the best guide. SO incredibly knowledgeable about everything Scotland. We are so happy we did this tour! I was a little nervous because I booked our lodging separately, but on our tour I realized a lot of people did that and as long as you’re in a certain radius, they will pick you up and drop you off from your Portree lodging. We found it was the perfect amount of scheduled stops and sightseeing and enough on your own time at night so it didn’t feel completely structured. Highly recommend this trip!!

We went on this tour Wednesday to Friday, and what a trip it was! Our guide, Andrew, is a guy with inexhaustible knowledge about pretty much everything, and with patience like an angel which he pairs with great humor! The sights we went to were amazing, beautiful landscapes and lots of photo opportunities. We are extremely happy we did this trip instead of staying in Edinburgh for a full week, and much of it because of Andrew! If we’re coming back to Scotland we’re definitely choosing Timberbush again!

We had an incredible three-day tour with Jim. He was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fascinating stories about Scotland’s history and culture. Just as importantly, he was an exceptional driver. The Highland roads can be challenging, but we always felt safe and comfortable in his hands. The itinerary was excellent, with breathtaking scenery, well-chosen stops, and plenty of opportunities to take in the views and explore. Jim kept the tour well organized while making it feel relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend requesting Jim. He truly made our trip memorable.
