After meeting at the W.E.C. in Ocala, we toured 3 horse farms with Karen and couldn't have asked for a better guide! She not only KNOWS the area, the farms, the owners, the history, but she also works in the field. Karen shared many stories and historical facts for each farm we drove past, plus why there are so many of them in Ocala. Farms we visited: A training track – where the horses train on a shared track; an Arabian horse farm – these horses were just gorgeous. We also met a couple of winning horses who are enjoying their retirement.; Lastly, a stud farm, where we saw some incredible Arabian Thoroughbreds, foals, and learned about their natural approach to studding. Each farm we visited was amazing and had Thoroughbreds descendent of the original 3 Arabian horses.
