We have just got back from a wonderful few days in the jungle with Gibbon Encounters. We loved every second of it and can't recommend it enough! Uno is an amazing guide, who always went above and beyond to make sure we had the best trip. he is very knowledgeable about the Karen people and the jungle and cares deeply for the gibbons and his culture. The home stay was very comfortable and everyone was so welcoming in the village. We already wish we were back in the jungle, with the sounds of gibbons and cicadas !

Teemoolay Gibbon Encounters
We had a great time and experience! The jungle hikes where realy gorgeous. Our guide (he is very kind, funny and amusing) was very commited in looking and finding gibbons. He also showed us many more fascinating animals and plants in the jungle.
Yes, we got to see the the Gibbons jumping and playing in the pinetrees.
Teemoolay, the village we stayed at, is a beautiful place with lovely and kind people. It was an honer to meet the Karen-People and get to know them and how they live. We felt very welcomed in there homestayes and enjoyed the delicious food they cooked for us.
The Gibbon Encounter is a great adventure trip and I am already missing the beauty of the jungle.

PERFECT
Was such an amazing experience. Uno is so kind, helpful and funny. All the villagers were so welcoming, and we were able to learn about their customs too. We also saw various animals other than gibbons in the jungle.
I can’t wait to go back there !

Try Gibbon it a go!
This was an excellent experience, especially if you're interested in wildlife or cultural exploration.
The accommodations were comfortable for three days in this lovely little village...
The vibes were Immaculate, we learned of many aspects of the place including a few Karen words and some of their trades, we saw lots of things met lots of new friends and ate plenty of good food.
The tour guide Uno made our visit particularly enjoyable, and he and the other hosts were very obliging of our interests, he let us go herping and took us to see two large families of gibbons, I think I can speak for our whole group of seven when I say it was well worth the price.

Gibbons experience
Uno the guide was one of the best people you could ever ask to be your guide. He is super knowledgeable and very much cares for the Gibbons. Aswell as he is super sociable and funny. He really brings out a great experience for the tour. The local people and him treated my group with great respect and accommodated us tremendously well. Please give this adventure a try. You won't be disappointed at all.

The highlight of the trip to Thailand!
We had the most amazing time with Gibbon Encounters - it was the highlight of our time in Thailand!
One was a fantastic guide, who was very knowledgeable about gibbons and the local area. The gibbon encounters were very ethical; we saw many, and observed them in the wild without intervention.
The homestay hosts were incredibly kind, and meeting the lovely residents of the village was the highlight of the trip! We took part in a basket weaving class, a cooking class, and learned how to harvest and roast coffee beans.
10/10 and could not recommend more highly. Thank you so much!

Best experience in Thailand
What an amazing experience. One of the top, if not the best thing I did while in Thailand for 3+ weeks. The cost for the experience was worth every penny. With only ever a small group size for a higher chance of seeing gibbons, there were so many activities planned that were intimate and authentic. You were able to learn so much from everyone in the village. It was above and beyond what I expected.
And we saw gibbons every day we were there! The owner has studied them for years and he knows the gibbon families and how they behave/where they live so he knew exactly what to do to get up close encounters.
I can’t recommend this tour enough !

Amazing!
In truth, I would not have enough words to express all my gratitude, both to the community and especially to Uno, Nai and Boy for the welcome and stay so beautiful that they gave me... I definitely felt at home, they treated me with so much love that it seemed that I always belonged here.
Their work in preserving their territory and culture is to be admired.
I recommend all those who are thinking of going around here, in Thailand, to contact them because they are doing a great job and the experience is something you will not forget so easy.
Again, thank you for everything!
Christian.

One of the most authentic experiences of nature and culture you’ll ever find.
Observing wild gibbons was a rare privilege. There’s nothing touristy about this experience; it’s as authentic and honest as you can get. 100% cultural immersion in a warm and generous community and the most unique, respectful encounter with wildlife I’ve had in 30 years’ of travelling the world. An experience you’ll never forget.

Can't recommend enough for nature lovers!
That was a very wholesome, authentic experience. The homestay was great - the host, the view, the local food. They provided the bed, the mosquito net, the outlet for charging, pretty much all I needed. If trying to find the drawbacks, maybe a hot shower would've been handy. But again, comfort is not what I was after on this trip. The nature is just beautiful! We saw Gibbons multiple times in their natural habitat! Finally, I really appreciate that this is a cooperative effort and money go to the conservation efforts and to support local community. For those loving nature, my full recommendation! If you just want Instagram photos, don't bother.
