Exactly what we were looking for. Guide Luis did an awesome job explaining the history and culture of this wonderful site. Made sure we were in the shade for the descriptions of each area and gave us the perfect amount of time to ask questions and explore.

This was our second tour with Zapotecos Tours. We had a full day experience with them to Hierve el Agua a couple of days back and wanted to schedule another one with them before we left Oaxaca. They have a brilliant team and we knew we’d be in good hands so it was a no brainer. Most of all - we must share a very special thanks to Pável who gifted us great knowledge through his tours. We were looking for a the which concentrated on Monte Albán only and were super happy to find this option. Our guide Luis was super knowledgeable and helpful, really bringing the history alive and making clear that the next archeological find could rewrite some of it!

We had a wonderful three-hour Monte Alban tour with Luis today. This was our second trip with Zapotecos Tours and, as usual, it was excellent. Luis is a really friendly and enthusiastic guide. He was very well knowledgeable and gave us a super overview of Monte Alban in relation to the Zapotecs and Mixtec cultures. He explained everything about Monte Alban, beginning in the museum and ending with the Zapotec elite residence. He answered every question we had and he gave us enough time to go around on our own. In addition, we really appreciated that Zapotecos Tours arranged for my husband and I to get back to the Zocalo because the rest of the group was doing a longer tour. Also, make sure you go to the Museo de las Culturas de Oaxaca after your Monte Alban tour. So many of the things Luis explained during our tour, we were able to see the actual artifacts in the museum afterward. It was the perfect continuation of the experience. Thank you, Luis and Zapotecos Tours, for another excellent tour!
