Tyra was an outstanding tour guide. Knowledgeable and entertaining. Also the 6 foods stops were great! A good sampling of traditional foods. Would highly recommend.

Don’t rely on maps app—check street numbers.
We enjoyed this tour, but had we relied on map’s accuracy to find the address, we would still be looking for 99 George st. Keep an eye out for the yellow flag carried by the guide.

Google Maps knows what's what but we've been struggling with correcting Apple Maps incorrect pin for that address, so we also include a description of the meeting point, cross streets, and GPS coordinates in our tour descriptions. We're glad you found your guide and enjoyed your tour.

Our St John’s food tour...
Our St John’s food tour with Tyra was a fantastic way to learn about Newfoundland and taste some traditional foods in charming settings. Tyra was a kick!! Full of wonderful information and delivered with lots of passion and a great sense of humor

Not worth the money
The food was terrible, not the experience I was expecting. We ate standing at a pool table covered with plastic at one bar. On the upside, our guide was great! Personable, funny and a wealth of knowledge.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy the tour, though our guide noted that you cleaned your plate at every stop. At the Duke of Duckworth we always make sure to offer stools when available because we know some people have trouble standing for the 15 or 20 minutes we're there. The location is small and this is the only way our groups can be accommodated but we, and most of our guests, believe their fish is 100% worth it.

A very good tour
This was a very good food tour. Not only did we get to sample some interesting local foods, but we learned a lot from our great tour guide. We were a bit surprised that there were no drinks provided with the food, but that was our expectation and not what was described.

Thanks for taking a tour with us. We're considering adding on an alcoholic drinks package as an option for next year. For now, water is served at the stops and guests are free to purchase anything else they may like. Thanks for the feedback.
