We did the 3-day/2-nights tour from Sansibar to Mikumi and the trip was worth every penny! The communication beforehand was excellent, so there were no questions left unanswered. The transportation was perfectly organized, and our guide, Saloniki, was simply fantastic. He didn’t just do his job — he genuinely enjoyed what he was doing and shared his extensive knowledge about animals, nature and culture with us. Thanks to his great tracking skills, we saw three different groups of lions, several groups of elephants, zebras, buffaloes, countless giraffes, hippos, and almost all the animals that roam the park. Our expectations were exceeded by far. We can wholeheartedly recommend this trip!

We spent 3 unforgettable, beautiful days in Tanzania's breathtaking nature. The team at Kihindo Tours provided us with information even before our trip to Zanzibar and was available for questions at any time. Pilly kept in touch with us via WhatsApp and sent us all the tickets and information in good time. The journey by ferry and train was great because you get to see so much of the country and get a little bit of a sense of life in Africa. Everything was relaxed and punctual—we were already picked up from the hotel and taken to the ferry and the train by warm-hearted staff members each time. Simply perfectly organized. From the Morogoro train station, we were then picked up by our so warm-hearted, friendly, and clever guides Yohana (Johan) and Isaya and driven to our simple but clean camp in Mikumi National Park, where we were greeted so warmly by the staff with a great lunch. In the afternoon, Yohana (best German-speaking guide) and Isaya (the best driver in the world!) made everything possible to show us the beautiful nature. We saw numerous elephants, giraffes, a sleeping lion family, birds, iguanas, crocodiles, "hippos," hyenas, "Pumbas," impalas, antelopes, elands, wildebeests, and fennec foxes. In the evening, there was a good meal at our camp, and the next morning we drove out at 6 o'clock into the sunrise. We were out completely alone because the park doesn't open until 7 o'clock. Yohana and Isaya tried so hard, and we learned a great deal. In the afternoon, we drove to a Maasai village and learned a lot about their life and culture. We spent the evening and the night at the breathtaking "Camp Lilac." In the middle of the wilderness, in beautiful tent houses, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff and a dinner by the campfire under the starry sky of Africa. Isaya and Yohana were the best companions one could imagine. They brought Tanzania into our hearts and taught us so much about this wonderful country and the culture and put in an incredible amount of effort—and they have the best sense of humor. Asante Sana!! My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time on this safari. It was truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. And it was not that expensive! We stayed a total of 2 nights in Mikumi. And the beautiful thing was that it was a private tour, so we could do everything on our tempo. Our tour guide was outstanding. He spoke excellent English, explained everything clearly, and took the time to make sure we understood and enjoyed every part of the journey. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional throughout the entire trip. I honestly cannot stop complimenting him because he made this experience so special for us. The safari itself was breathtaking. We saw incredible wildlife, enjoyed beautiful landscapes, and created memories that we will cherish forever. Everything was well organized, and we felt comfortable and taken care of at all times. I would highly recommend this safari to anyone visiting Tanzania. Without a doubt, this has been the best adventure of my life so far. Thank you for giving us such an unforgettable experience!

Excellent organization of the trip, from Zanzibar to the park. The guide was very friendly and knew the wildlife perfectly, sharing his knowledge with pleasure. And on top of that, he spoke French very well. Arnaud and Laurie

A fantastic experience in Mikumi with our guide Nuhu. He knew all about wildlife and birds. We learned a lot. We saw the elephants, zebras, antelopes, Giraffes, monkeys, puumba, buffalo, hippon, lions and several beautiful birds. All transport worked great. We went by train to Morogoro which was nice, when we arrived we got food and later a visit to a Maasai village where we got lots of information about the Maasai lives. (Take the opportunity to buy handicrafts from the Maasai women) The second day we left early and came home late after a fantastic day in Mikumi National Park, lunch in the park. On the third day it was time to travel to Zanzibar by train and ferry. It was nice that the driver was waiting for us outside the ferry even though we were delayed and on to our accommodation in Jambiani.

The safari was well organised and also the long journey to the camp and back to sansibar felt not that exhausting due to all the help🤗 The food and the camp were incredible. And because of our guides Nuhu and Saloniki who did their best to give as the best experience as possible, we could learn a lot about the wild animals. We always felt very comfortable. It was a great experience.

Our safari with Michael was truly exceptional. He drove us safely from morning to evening, always smiling, attentive and patient. He took time to explain everything about the animals, stopped whenever we had questions, and made the whole experience fun, natural and very interesting. We laughed, we learned, and felt completely at ease. Michael is an outstanding guide and we highly recommend him!

Definitely an experience to remember and recommend. We were treated amazing at all times. Getting to know the Masai village and the safari are experiences that leave a mark. Both Isaac and Jack did their best to see the maximum number of animals; giraffes, lions, zebras, impalas, etc. At Bastian camp we also had a happy stay. Very grateful to the entire team of Kihindo (Winnie, Adam, Isaac, Jack)!

An unforgettable excursion. We (2 adults and a 10 year old child from Austria) were picked up early in the morning on the first day by our driver Isaya. The car was very comfortable and everything was well organised. Isaya was very nice and provided us with information on the 5 hour drive to Mikumi National Park. It was a great journey and we heard and saw a lot about the country and its people. We had lunch in a restaurant. This was also included and the food was delicious. We arrived at Camp Bastian around 2pm. The camp was beautiful and also had a great pool, which our daughter was very happy about. At around 4 pm we drove to the Maasai village. The Maasai danced and there was a guided tour of the whole village. Our Maasai Saloniki explained everything to us and it was super informative. At 6pm we drove back to camp and had dinner. The food was buffet style and very tasty. Our room was huge. It was clean and the bathroom was huge. The next day we left very early after breakfast for the national park. We had a huge open jeep for the three of us alone. We had two guides with us. Saloniki and Jackson. Both were great and were very keen to tell us everything about the animals and that we would see lots of them. They read the tracks and followed them. That day we were the only ones in the park to see the lions because our guides were so attentive. We had lunch in the park. This was also in buffet form and was again very tasty. Our tour of the park didn't end until 6.30am and we saw so many animals and learnt so much. The next day we travelled back to Dar es Salaam with our driver Isaya. It was another great journey and we then had lunch in Dar es Salaam itself. We had no additional costs apart from tips (which everyone really earned) or souvenirs. I can really recommend this tour with Kihindo Tours and Safari to everyone. There was nothing to complain about. I organised the organsition myself through Winnie from Kihindo tour. She was super quick to respond and answered all my questions. Great organisation and great people.
