An escape we needed, a journey we will carry forever
We booked with Windows of Siwa after reading so many wonderful reviews and now I would like to pass that kindness on. Booking this tour led us to a truly life-changing journey.
Dr Mohammed has created something extraordinary. Every part of the tour felt thoughtfully planned, allowing us to discover Siwa’s incredible sites while having time to truly absorb them. Through his storytelling, these places came alive. His explanations carried us back through the centuries, helping us imagine the people, beliefs, and lives that came before us. You could feel how much he cared about sharing Siwa with us.
There is something about being in Siwa that is difficult to put into words. Surrounded by such ancient history, in a country that has shaped so much of our understanding of civilization and faith, I felt an energy that moved through my whole body. For me, Siwa belongs on everyone’s bucket list at least once in their lifetime.
Mohammed was also able to accommodate for us two added experiences from the main tour, that I will treasure forever: an epic horseback ride through the Great Sand Sea at sunset on our first day and watching the sunrise from Dakur Mountain on our second. The freedom of riding through those endless dunes and the quiet beauty of watching a new day rise over Siwa are memories I know I will return to in my mind for the rest of my life.
A heartfelt thank-you also goes to Ali, our driver, who cared for us door to door on the round trip from Cairo to Siwa. His kindness and care made us feel safe, comfortable, and able to relax throughout the journey.
Mohammed, Ali, and Windows of Siwa: thank you for giving us so much more than a tour. You gave us time to breathe, reconnect, and feel the wonder that can so easily get lost in everyday life.
We arrived needing an escape and left with memories that will stay with us forever. Until next time, beautiful Siwa. ❤️

Flawless 4-Day Siwa Oasis tour
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flawless 4-Day Siwa Tour – Exceptional Service from Start to Finish! We booked a 3-night, 4-day tour with Windows of Siwa, and it was the absolute highlight of our time in Egypt. Our main guide for the entire tour, Mohamed, was incredible. He coordinated everything perfectly, was incredibly easy to deal with, and was completely flexible—arranging a smooth pickup for us all the way from Alexandria and dropping us off seamlessly in Cairo. Our long-distance driver was also fantastic, making us feel safe and comfortable the entire way while kindly offering coffee, refreshments, and breaks.
The itinerary was packed with unforgettable memories. On Day 1, we stopped at a beautiful beach in Marsa Matrouh for lunch before heading to Siwa. Our desert safari—which actually happened on Day 1 for us—was an absolute blast thanks to our safari guide, Fouad. The overnight camping was fantastic and the dune bashing was thrilling (he even let us safely hang out the windows!), and we loved sand boarding, stargazing, and drinking fresh mint tea made over the campfire. We even did a peaceful sunset meditation with our hands and feet buried in the warm sand and spotted a little desert mouse!Over the next few days, Mohamed guided us through the magical salt lakes, Cleopatra Spring, Shali Fortress, the Mountain of the Dead, and the historic temples (Amun and Oracle).
We enjoyed 2 nights of hotel stays and 1 night desert camping and all delicious meals included, this tour was worth every penny. Thank you, Mohamed and team!.

Unforgettable Experience in Siwa
My experience with Windows of Siwa was one of the highlights of my trip to Egypt and exceeded my expectations.
From the beginning, everything was incredibly well organized and personalized. Siwa is a long way from Cairo, but the journey was comfortable and once I arrived, the entire experience felt relaxed and authentic rather than like a typical packaged tour.
Dr. Mohammed was fantastic. His knowledge of Siwa, its history, culture and people added so much to the experience. More importantly, he genuinely cared that I was enjoying my time there. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated the personal attention and flexibility. From the salt lakes and Cleopatra’s Spring to the Oracle Temple, Fatnas Island and the Great Sand Sea, I never felt rushed or like we were simply checking things off a list.
A special mention also has to go to Ali, my driver. He was excellent throughout the trip—professional, dependable and incredibly kind. He handled the long drives between Cairo and Siwa as well as getting us around the oasis, and I always felt comfortable and safe with him. By the end of the trip, he felt like much more than simply a driver.
The Great Sand Sea was especially memorable—4x4 driving through the dunes, sandboarding, desert tea, sunset and stargazing made for an incredible day.
What I appreciated most about Windows of Siwa was how personal and genuine the experience felt. Siwa is a very special place, and having Dr. Mohammed and Ali showing it to me made it even better.
If you’re considering visiting Siwa, I would absolutely recommend Windows of Siwa. Ask for Dr. Mohammed and Ali—you’ll be in very good hands.
Five stars without hesitation.

Oasis of Siwa
The experience is incredible, immersive, and complete.
As soon as we arrived in Siwa, we embarked on a desert safari, and while we enjoyed sledding on the sand dunes, our guide prepared tea and a snack for us to observe the sunset. This is probably what impressed us the most about this activity. A small point to note, unfortunately, we were unable to observe the stars and planets with a telescope as advertised, but it's a minor detail.
The rest is rich with swimming in hot springs, in the salt lake, visiting traditional villages, the oracle temple, or even the mountain of death. We regretted that our English was not more developed because we would have had plenty of additional questions to ask.
Regarding the accommodation, we weren't quite sure what to expect; we had planned to bring a sleeping bag just in case, but the hotel was well above our expectations with pools and large rooms.
There are a few negative points to note, particularly regarding the included meals. There are 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners. While we have an 8-hour drive (if all goes well, we actually spent about 13 hours on the way there and 9.5 hours on the way back), we should return without eating lunch. There is not much point in having 3 breakfasts in the morning when we can organize ourselves. Especially since, for us, we missed the first one because, I quote, "we were sleeping." However, at every break, we were awake, and every time the driver called on us... Fortunately, we were allowed a stop on the way back (at 4:15 PM) to compensate...
Another downside, while the driver seems very nice, caring, and available, he unfortunately does not speak a word of English, which led us to find ourselves in several situations of misunderstanding, which was rather amusing for us.
Ultimately, there were some communication issues on the part of the guide. I think it was the same for him, but we never knew if it was him or the driver who was coming to pick us up, which meant we didn't really say goodbye to him. Nothing very serious, but it's a bit of a shame.
In any case, I highly recommend this activity, which will leave us with wonderful memories and a bittersweet feeling about our return to France!

A wonderful experience
We met wonderful people, experienced a rich culture, and saw breathtaking landscapes.
Despite the long drive (about 8–9 hours), it’s well worth it—everything is beautiful and peaceful.
You’ll see that there’s still a healthy world out there.
Don’t hesitate for a second!!!

Make time on your itinerary for Siwa
Windows of Siwa was an absolute standout of our trip. The place has this calm desert magic about it — beautiful views, traditional style, and the sort of peaceful vibe that makes you instantly slow down. After long days exploring the oasis, it was the perfect place to unwind and watch the sun disappear over the desert.
A huge shout-out to Ahmed, our driver, who somehow managed to get us safely across what felt like half the Sahara. The roads, checkpoints and desert tracks are no joke, but Ahmed handled it all like a legend and always with a smile.
And then there’s Dr Mohammod, who clearly pours his heart into the place. His knowledge of Siwa, its history and culture is incredible, but what really stood out was how much he genuinely wants his guests to have the best experience possible. Nothing was too much trouble and you could tell he takes real pride in making sure everyone leaves happy.
If you’re heading to Siwa, Windows of Siwa is the sort of place that makes the trip unforgettable — authentic, welcoming and run by people who truly care.

If you’re on the fence, BOOK THIS ONE!
AN ABSOLUTE MUST! We are usually “do it yourself” type people but this tour was so perfect so we didn’t have to worry or think at all, simply enjoy. Mohammed from Cairo was the kindest, coolest driver and Mohammed from Siwa was the most fun, competent tour guide ever! Seriously, if you’re considering do this any other way you don’t even know what you don’t know until this fabulous tour is handling the passport checks (about 16 between here and cairo, not kidding) and the tricky road conditions with ease. You must go!!!
