Our experience with Bhutan Swallowtail Tours was excellent and we would gladly recommend them to friends and family. Tashi personally guided us with buying souvenirs and gifts while our guide Singye and driver Tshewang managed our entire itinerary with immaculate care. We had an amazing and magical travel with our 3 years old. From the first communications the team helped us to tailor a trip specifically for our family. We were lucky to have Uncle Tshering as a guide and Uncle PT as a driver, both were exceptional with our daughter. They helped with everything to make her comfortable and happy, they followed our pace (naps, stops for toilet etc) And the most importantly they helped us to hike to the Tiger Nest (we brought our hiking baby carrier). Highly recommend the river rafting add on - the whole family enjoyed. Bhutan and their people are so magical. It is a bucket list destination. Can't wait to go back soon.
Bhutan was the most wonderful surprise! What a beautiful, clean, peaceful country - we enjoyed every minute. Bhutan Swallowtail Tours was so easy to work with. From our many questions before booking, to crafting the perfect itinerary for our group of 3. We had a private guide and driver for 3 days - in a large comfortable vehicle. Noko was perhaps the best guide I have ever had . He was kind, knowledgeable - and willing to share his love of his country. We were busy from dawn to dusk with exploring monasteries, temples and the beautiful countryside. We had an amazing hike up to Tiger's Nest, followed by lunch in a private farmhouse and then a traditional hot stone bath. Noko took great photos throughout our visit and gave us a video of our trip before we left. We could not have asked for more!

Our short, but absolutely amazing 3-day trip to Bhutan was unforgettable, thanks to the meticulous planning and support from the start. Singye and Tashi were both very responsive to ALL of our questions and helped us customize our itinerary for the short time we had in the country. From the moment we landed, our guide Noko and driver Passang took excellent care of us. Noko was not just incredibly knowledgeable, but also so fun and friendly, making every moment special. He is also an excellent photographer, capturing candid moments of our group! Passang got us everywhere we wanted to go, safely....even on those curvy mountain roads from Paro to Thimphu! Always prompt, never a worry from us! The Lhayhyel hotel we stayed at was beautiful, and set outside of town a bit, which was a great touch. We are from Florida and Georgia (USA), so the December weather is cold for us, but the hotel added extra heaters when needed. We had wonderful breakfasts each morning, and their dinner was also enjoyable! Even in such a short time, we packed in so many unforgettable experiences. We explored Paro and Thimphu, hiked the breathtaking Tiger’s Nest, joined a spontaneous flash mob (yes, really!), and tried delicious momos with the locals. One evening, we even found ourselves at a local bar enjoying live music. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch at a traditional farmhouse and a hot stone bath! Every single activity was thoughtfully planned, even our shopping excursions. Noko was great at helping us find exactly what we were searching for. We can't thank Swallowtail enough for the memorable experience. Hopefully we will get back to the beautiful country again!
I’m absolutely amazed by Bhutan and what they have to offer. Our trip was like out of some fairytale: beautiful nature, interesting program, breathtaking views. Big thank you to our tour guides Tshering Nyeldrup and Phub Sonam for making our experience best of the best !
Contacted Swallowtail to book a customized tour for 2 days (given limited time), and after some back and forward, had an itinerary that was spot on. Tour itself was absolutely great with knowledgeable guide (Kinley), and no hiccups whatsoever. Don’t think I could have asked for a better 2 day experience…
