We recently spent an incredible 2.5 weeks visiting many parts of Morocco. Although I had planned the accommodation & itinerary myself, I quickly realised we could have just as easily left the itinerary to our incredibly capable driver & guide Said. Having said that, he was just as happy to accommodate us with our planned itinerary & fill the gaps with activities & site seeing on route. His deep knowledge of Morocco, its history & culture, along with his perceptive talent for reading people, meant he always had great suggestions for places and activities that suited our interests & personal tastes. Always the professional, punctual & patient, but what set him apart was his great sense of humour, which made the long drives so enjoyable. It goes without saying that he is an excellent and very safe driver, which gave us complete peace of mind throughout the trip. Be it on motorways, winding mountain roads or 4 wheel driving in the Sahara, we were in the safest of hands in his very comfortable 4WD vehicle. He was especially wonderful with my teenage daughter, taking the time to engage with her and making her feel included throughout the journey. As a self-proclaimed foodie, Said suggested some fantastic restaurants & local delicacies. I implore you to take him up on his recommendations, you won’t be disappointed. I am sure should I have given him the chance he would have recommended equally good accommodation….next time! We initially thought this would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but thanks to the incredible beauty of Morocco, its wonderful people, & having Said as our exceptional driver & introductory guide, we will definitely be back. Our excursion to the Merzouga Desert was an unforgettable experience. The dunes of Erg Chebbi are absolutely spectacular, especially at sunset and sunrise. The camel ride was magical and the night in bivouac under the stars will live in my memory. The calm, the silence and the beauty of the landscape give a true feeling of peace. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco.

From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised. Our driver was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable about the places we visited. The journey through Morocco’s changing landscapes was breathtaking — from the Atlas Mountains to the vast desert plains. The highlight, of course, was reaching the Sahara and riding camels into the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi. Watching the sunset over the dunes was magical, and the overnight desert camp experience was beyond expectations — clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. The food was delicious, and the evening music under the stars created memories we will cherish for a lifetime. What stood out most was the attention to detail and the genuine care shown throughout the trip. My wife and I took a private 3 day, 2 night trip from Marrakesh to Merzouga/ The Sahara. Our guide/driver was Said, and I’d highly recommend that you request him. Wonderful sense of humor, made the long drives enjoyable by pointing out great views, different landscapes, insights on the villages and culture… all while safely driving through the Atlas Mountains and to the desert. The flexibility and personalized experience of the private trip was worth the extra cost for my wife and I to ensure we got the most of our few days we had. Overall stunning views, very interesting information, a memorable night in the Sahara, and made a new friend in Said.
