My guide Miguel grew up in the Amazon jungle which allowed him to speak to animals and his ability to spot animals was incredible. He has eagle eyes for sure. The lodge was clean, good food, and very relaxing since no internet. You are in complete nature which is beautiful. I saw many animals w Miguel. It’s definitely unforgettable experience. Bring good bug spray, those mosquitoes are insane

Very nice trip. The tour guide La Li is very experience and nice. Every thing arrange is very well. We see the money, bird and finishing the Piranha, then cooking them. but I think the summer is hot, and no air-condition. Also the shower water is come from the river.

What an OUTSTANDING, UNIQUE & MINDBLOWING experience. Note that you are in the middle of the amazones with an authentic and traditional comunity with around 20 amazing activities you could choose from. The people are friendly, accommodating and with endless knowledge of the area. They take care of you at anytime and I can tell you, you'll get surprised by everything they have to offer. Needless the say, it is value for money or even a bargain! Totally recomendable. Joel was our guide and Wilson the driver. They are quite and very respectful but feel free to hit it off with them ;-).

This was the highlight of our six week trip in Peru! We will never forget the awesome time we had in the peruvian amazon. The organisation of the Libertad Jungle Lodge was flawless! We were picked up at the Iquitos Airport directly after we arrived and after the trip were brought back to an adress of our choosing in Iquitos. During the time of the trip we did not have to worry about a single thing and were very well taken care of. The lodge is a community run project by the local villagers of the Libertad village next to the lodge. The chefs cooked is incredibly delicious food typical for the peruvian jungle all made from local ingredients. For every meal we also got fresh juices from jungle fruits we sometimes haven‘t even heard of before. Upon arrival in the lodge you sit down with your personal jungle guide and talk about all of the things you can do during your trip. It is then up to you to come up with a plan together with your guide and get a individualised program that perfectly fits your needs. From piranha fishing over watching and feeding monkeys up to watching dolphins and the sunrise & sundown over the amazon, there were plenty things to do. Thanks to our guide Larry who grew up in the jungle and had an astounding knowledge about the flora and fauna in the jungle we had an unforgettable time in the jungle! If you book in groups you will get a discount because there are more people with one personal guide. I higly recommend booking a trip to the jungle in the Libertad Jungle Lodge because you will have an unforgettable time! We booked via Howlanders and were very pleased by the flexibility of the organisation! They were very kind and helped us with all of our needs, even when we had special requests.

Planned Iquitos trip with 12 y old son. LATAM airlines changed flights 6 times, Howlanders accommodated all of those changes: delayed pickups, transportations, etc... And finally that SARS-cov-2 virus killed the trip - Howlanders refunded the whole trip costs. Very well run and honest company.
