A very exceptional tour for us I highly recommend this Andes to anyone visiting Uyuni. The care and hospitality that we had is above and beyond our expectations. Even due to the Gas shortage in the city chops our 3days to a 2days tour still this company never failed to satisfy us. The amount of efforts that they given and the enthusiasm of the Tour Guide are absolutely incredible. I salute “BERNARDO” our driver the happiness that he shared to everyone is truly amazing… Thank you for having us and we had an amazing time definitely we will do this again…

We had booked a 4-day premium tour but, due to my husband's health problems, we were not able to do the expedition as planned. The guide and the driver supported us wonderfully for the hospital visits. For my part, I was able to do a small part of the expedition and it was really very good. The meals prepared by the agency were excellent. The salt hotel booked for us, the Luna Salada, was superb. The agency manager, very experienced, helped us organize our early departure with his recommendations, including that of the specialized doctor, and the organization of private transport to Chile.

The agency organized a unique and spectacular trip, starting with the car driver, Hanry. Unique landscapes, attention to the needs of the passengers, and organized for the whole trip from the food to the little touches. I highly recommend living a one-of-a-kind experience

The landscape is absolutely stunning, each view is somehow better than the last. The drivers handle some pretty minimal roads extremely well and the trip and the timing is very well organised. The accomodation is pretty minimal (but that's not why you visit) and it can get cold so pack layers

The organization by the company was overall very good and the tour was managed well. I did the two-day experience because initially I had booked the three-day tour, but I had to move and modify it because I was not feeling well. In the end, moreover, it went well for me because, due to bad weather, the three-day tour would not have been able to carry out the third day regularly anyway. The route is inevitably rather packaged for tourism, which I can understand given the notoriety of the area. Personally, however, I found the visit to the Train Cemetery quite grotesque and uninteresting. It is, as I perceived it, old trains that are now very deteriorated, and I did not find any particular historical or authentic elements that justified all the time dedicated to the stop. I would have preferred to use that time for something more natural or authentic, but of course this is a personal taste. As for the guides, I believe our vehicle's guide was named Iber. I got along very well with him; he was always available, kind, smiling, and ready to help. My experience with the other guide, who seemed to be coordinating the group, was unfortunately very different. From the beginning, I perceived an attitude that I personally found disrespectful and rather arrogant. When he realized that I did not speak English, he made it clearly understood that he was annoyed by it and told me that this represented a problem because all the other participants spoke English. I, however, had expressly booked a tour in the Spanish language. I was in Bolivia, in a country where Spanish is spoken, and I was not asking for a service in a particular or unusual language. I had simply purchased a tour in Spanish and I expected the explanations to be given to me in Spanish. If, due to the composition of the group, he had to give the explanations in English first and then repeat them in Spanish, I do not believe this should have become my problem. Precisely for this reason, I found his attitude very arrogant and disrespectful. The worst episode happened in the evening at the salt hostel. I was not feeling well and went to sleep early. Before retiring, I specifically asked the coordinator what time we were supposed to meet to see the sunrise, because it was one of the things I cared about most. I was told 6:40 AM and I even repeated it to be sure, receiving confirmation. The next morning I discovered that the departure was actually scheduled for 5:40 AM and so I missed the sunrise. When I pointed out what had happened, the coordinator replied that he had told me 5:40 AM. I can only report my experience. I remember the conversation with great clarity and the fact that I repeated the time precisely to avoid misunderstandings. Furthermore, I speak Spanish well enough, and distinguishing “cinco cuarenta” from “seis cuarenta” does not represent a problem for me. What bothered me even more than the mistake was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to understand what could have happened, I immediately perceived a very unpleasant attitude that was not open to discussion. It is a shame, because the organization of the company and the experience with Iber had been very positive. Different behavior on the part of the other guide would certainly have greatly improved my overall evaluation of the tour.

We had the best 3 day uyuni tour with our guide Raquel and driver Oscar, the dream team! Raquel was the perfect mix of informative, efficient to keep us on track (but we never felt rushed) and relaxed, leaving us to have time alone. Our time with her was fun, engaging and they both took some great pics for us! Wouldn’t change a thing about our trip. We hope to come back to Bolivia again one day - and hope they’re available when we do!

This was a good trip to all the spots. Honestly I think we probably overpaid by booking in advance. The first hotel was a salt hotel called Magia. It was comfortable, very basic, but had a lot of hot water. The second hotel was also nice, new. No heat, freezing I'm September. The food was very basic across the board. The guide spent a lot of time talking to relay basic information then gave us short amounts of time to go explore and take pictures. There was entirely too much time spent looking at flamingos and not enough time to explore geology and trails. Third day was mostly driving, I think the better route is to go to Chile on day 3. Honestly there are 100 tour companies in Uyuni and if you shop around you can probably find something better. Going to spend a lot of time in the car, so choose a place with good drivers. If you prefer, I suggest a private tour so you can set your own agenda and possibly get better food.

A special thank you to our guide Eduardo and our driver Frankly, who were absolutely fantastic. Both were incredibly friendly, helpful and professional throughout the entire trip. Eduardo was knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to explain what we were seeing and answer our questions, while Frankly made us feel completely safe and comfortable even during the longest and most challenging parts of the journey. They were always punctual, attentive and in a great mood, which made spending three days together genuinely fun. 😊 The Salar and the landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano are simply unforgettable, but having such a great team made the experience even more special. We would 100% recommend Andes Salt Expeditions — and especially Eduardo and Frankly! Thank you for an amazing adventure! 🇧🇴❤️

Before any analysis, I want to highlight the work of Edu and Ruben, which was excellent and has nothing to do with the worst experience we had. We had booked the 3-day/2-night tour ending in São Pedro de Atacama. Unfortunately, due to weather reasons, the border closed and we had to change the plan. The operator waited until the day before to indicate the changes, when obviously we didn't know how to interpret the quality of the new plan versus the original. The truth is that there was no relevant content for a 3-day tour and the operator should have reduced it to just 2 days; it had been more than enough. We wasted time seeing villages that have no interest other than to go to the bathroom or buy drinks. So that on the last night all the tour passengers decided to shorten the last day and finish earlier because we were tired of inventing and going around in circles. In short, facing the changes that were imposed on us, there was a lack of honesty and only greed. There should have been a reduction of the trip from 3 to 2 days and a price reduction. In the end... they didn't want to know if we would like it or not, they just wanted to make money

We had crazy weather and had to switch to a 2-day tour with the same company. Viator were super helpful and responsive while we sorted out the change, can’t recommend more. We had a wonderful two days!
