コルマール2Hウォーキングツアー（ヴェネツィア・ボートクルーズ）

Maverick (coolest name ever) guided us excellently and knew how to tell interesting facts in a fun way. It was also nice that we had a small group.

Maverick was THE GREATEST!!!!! So knowledgeable as well as funny!!! However… 1) still waiting for the return of the boat fare…. since there was a parade/festival we didn’t get the boat. (wish viator told us this prior… poor Maverick had to deliver the sad news). How do I go about getting the 45 euros back??? Maverick said it would just happen.

The walking tour of Colmar was very interesting and informative. Our tour guide had to translate in both English and French. It would have been better to if the group had been split between English and French people

Easy walk through the Colmar Historic Center during 2h; note the boat tour is done After the walk tour & is +/-25mn additional time. There are 2 spots for booking a boat tour; just walk in whenever u wish by the river side.

The guide was very nice and really very professional; he knew the subject inside and out. The boat ride is too expensive for the little time spent on the water; fortunately, the guide was there.

It was a good walking tour. The guide Maverick was good and explained the history very well. If you want to walk around the town and know some interesting facts about Colmar in a short time, this tour works for you. Though the tour was good and included tasting local delicacy and cheese, the boat ride was cancelled by the company and it was communicated when the tour started. The company agreed to refund or provide guidance on booking it individually, but conveying this in advance could have been helpful. Also, the itinerary was a bit confusing to me while booking. It wasn’t clear whether total time of the tour was 2 hours or 2 1/2 hours including boat ride. There was very less time spent on La Petite Venise which was a picturesque spot with not much time to take pictures. The tour in English and French was combined. This was time consuming and led to repetition. These were some surprises, but overall the tour was good, I had a good time in Colmar.

Very disappointed, we arrived 15 mins early as advised to meet our tour host Maverick at 9.45am. His first comment was that we would receive a re-fund for the Little Venice boat ride as there were no tickets available. Our English group tour were not provided with boat tickets which was the main reason for booking the tour in the first place. However, he stated that the two French people in the group of 8 had been given tickets, to which we were astonished and said we would like to go now and try and secure boat tickets before Colmar becomes too busy with tourists. I have tried contact him the French tour company but all you get is an answer machine message without the ability to leave a message and then get cut off. Very disappointing indeed and expect a full refund for the total cost of our tour, which we didn’t receive. Two other Canadian tourists did exactly the same and aborted Mavericks tour, as the little Venice boat tour was their main priority too. Advice to anyone else booking please make sure that you receive your boat tickets prior to setting off

Following an SNCF incident departing from Turckheim, we were able to take the guided tour in the afternoon instead of the morning and enjoy the canal tour in the morning. The guides are excellent. Thank you Maverick for sharing these historical events and details. Good time. The tour on the canals is overpriced. The guides are great, the tour is too short.

I had a bad experience on this tour. Firstly the guide sent a WhatsApp message with wrong starting address. When we reached the location, it was a parking lot of another place. We had to call him and walk for a while to find him. During the tour he barely spoke correct English and we struggled with understanding him. There were a total of 5/6 random buildings of which he spoke about the history. There was another couple who were French so he spoke mostly during the one and a half hour in French to them. Secondly the tour is deceptive in how it is advertised. It says 2 hours. So we booked the tickets for 10:00 am and planned a departure from colmar at 1pm. We made the bookings 5 days in advance. When the walking tour finished around 11:30 am, the guide shared with us a QR code for the boat ride and asked us to go to the boat ride counter and disappeared himself. When we reached the counter, the guy asked us if we speak English and when we said yes, he said that our turn on the boat ride will come at 1:30pm. We told him that we are leaving collar by 1pm so we can’t wait till 1:30 pm and that the tour is advertised as 2 hours so we took tickets for 10:00 am. He said that we should have bought the tickets from his company and not on Internet as our tickets had got booked with them only yesterday (even though we had purchased them 5 days ago). He said that the next boat is at 11:40 but we are not on it and if we want refund, he will return only €10 even though the tour is sold for €50 per person on this website. Overall a total waste of time, money and energy. Really bad experience.

This was a good tour if you have limited time and want to see and hear about Colmar. Maverick the guide gave us interesting information and insights into the history of Colmar.
