Really nice tour. A certain fitness level makes the tour a lot easier. I'm not exactly in great shape myself, so it was extremely exhausting for me, constantly going uphill and downhill. So basically almost vertically up and down, without proper paths. But the guides are very relaxed and with several additional breaks I made it to the camp in the end, albeit a bit late. We saw the orangutans multiple times + other monkey species, snakes, and birds as well. I can highly recommend the overnight stay in the jungle. That is truly a highlight. Sure, you only sleep on thin mats, which is quite uncomfortable, but waking up by the river in the morning when the wildlife is also just waking up... that was really cool. And the rafting back rounds off the tour very well. The meals that are prepared along the way are also great. It was a very nice experience and for anyone who likes such outdoor tours, highly recommended. In the end, it should just be clear to everyone: You have to want to do this 😬😅

Really nice tour with the most friendliest guides

A valuable experience getting a taste of life in the heart of the Bukit Lawang forest. We are so happy can see many animals, especially Orang Utan. The Tour Guides were so informative. Thanks to the guides Dian and his depth of knowledge, Roji jokes and good humour making our time enjoyable and welcoming and Dedi paying close attention to us, pointing out animals that we would otherwise miss and guiding us back on the return including the fun river tubing back to the hotel. We were immerses with Orang utan (people from the jungle) feeling one of them :) but also spotted Bonobos, monkeys, Thomas monkeys, a peacock, birds, camaleons, otters and a 2meter biawak ! The hike can be intense at times climbing and decending steep areas. Also you might want to bring towels as not provided and water for first day. Beeakfast and dinner were very complete and yummy. We had a fantastic experience with this trek. Fernando and Bima were excellent guides who made the whole experience memorable and enjoyable. We saw 10 orangutans along with other wildlife. The food provided was fantastic along with the camp games. We also planted a tree. The raft journey back to the accommodation was also memorable. I would highly recommend booking through this local business.

Magnificent experience. Thanks to excellent organization and great, attentive guides (Lemon & Wise), we had the chance to see many orangutans and other species during our trek. We ate extremely well during the two days. I highly recommend this unique experience!

We have an amazing jungle experience with them. We brought our 2 small kids 6yo and 2yo with us and they took care nicely of them and make sure they are safe. The fees are also reasonable, given that all is inclusive and we managed to see what we are expecting to see. 2D1N jungle trek is perfect for a family with small kids.

We had an amazing 2-day jungle trek in Bukit Lawang and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Everything was very well organized from start to finish, and our guides were fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We saw orangutans and lots of other wildlife, learned so much about the jungle, and had an unforgettable experience sleeping in the middle of the rainforest. The food was also delicious, and everything was handled really well. The whole trek was challenging at times, but absolutely worth it. The guides made the experience fun, safe, and truly special. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bukit Lawang! 🌴🦧❤️

Beautiful experience among animals, fruit, trekking, rafting, pure adventure. I recommend this experience because the guides are exceptional, you just have to arm yourself with a spirit of adventure and observe what you have around you, for the rest they take care of everything.

It was a dreamlike experience; it is impossible to put into words how beautiful and exciting everything was. The entire team at Sumatra’s Wonders is so nice, loving, and funny.
