Disrespectful and Disappointing Experience – Avoid Acetes Travel
Our experience with Acetes Travel Istanbul was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. We booked a New Year’s activity expecting a memorable evening, but instead, it turned into a frustrating and disrespectful experience due to the lack of care and attention to detail.
Despite clearly communicating our dietary requirements as Hindu vegetarians (no eggs, no fish, no meat) well in advance, the organisers served food containing egg. This was a serious violation of our cultural and religious beliefs, leaving us unable to eat and completely ruining the evening.
To make matters worse, the staff were dismissive and argumentative when we raised our concerns, insisting there was no issue and refusing to acknowledge their negligence. Their offered "compensation" of a free tour felt like a hollow gesture, failing to address the emotional and cultural impact of their actions.
We paid a significant amount for this tour, expecting professionalism and care, but what we received was negligence and disrespect. This was especially disappointing as this evening was meant to be a special celebration for my wife and me—our first real time together in 11 years after raising kids. Instead of a cherished memory, it became a frustrating ordeal.
I strongly advise others to reconsider booking with Acetes Travel. Their inability to handle customer requests, dismissive attitude, and failure to take accountability make them an unreliable choice. There are better options available with more affordable pricing and superior service.

Hello, first of all, we would like you to know that we are very sorry for your negative experience. Yes, you are right, you have stated that you are sensitive about the food. However, there was only one egg in the food served to you. There was no product that you were sensitive about in the other dishes and appetizers. When the situation was noticed, a solution was provided quickly and you were served with care. You benefited from all the services (New Year's dinner, hotel transfer, unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic team drinks, all shows) on New Year's Eve. It is not fair to ask for your payment back. After the mistake was realized, you were given many treats and services and the entire team did their best to compensate for the situation.
The argumentative situation and indifference you mentioned are definitely not true. Our customer representative spoke to you many times and apologized many times and even offered you a free tour, but you insisted on asking for your payment back. You were not disrespected in any way, as you can see, New Year's Eve was a very busy event, we accept that a mistake was made, but it is not fair to benefit from all the services and then ask for your money back.
Absolutely, all our guests are very important to us. Our main goal is to provide them with the best service and we have been doing this for years. After all, we are all human and make mistakes and we have done our best to correct these mistakes.
Again, we apologize for the situation, we hope to host you again next time and do our best for you.

Happy 2025
Pre-arrange a taxi or ride because it is impossible to get a taxi. The cruise itself was fun, unlimited drinks but the turkey was dry… the pasta plate or falafel looked better. Lots of dancing and great fireworks show.

A waste of money
The pick up at our hotel was an hour and fifteen minutes late. When we arrived at the boat all the other over 350 guests had already finished their first course. We were paying a high price for a meal and open bar. But it was extremely challenging to get a refill for our glasses of terrible quality white wine and the food was tasteless and very disappointing. The show was extremely mediocre especially the belly dancer whose main interest was to swivel her belly in front of men prepared to give her a tip. As for the fireworks - there was no show just a few fireworks at different spots around the Bosphorus. This experience was a waste of money, we would have been much better off going to a good restaurant in Istanbul for a special meal.

You bought the tour directly from our website and all the details and videos about the tour have been published on our website. And you bought them on purpose.
You are right about the transfer, there was a delay, but we warned you a few days before the tour day. Traffic in Istanbul is very busy at New Year's, and there is nothing we can do about it.
All our customers have been given the necessary importance in terms of food and drink and everything declared on our website has been provided. If there was a problem, I wish you had reported the situation to our staff on the boat at that time and we provided a solution for you immediately.

Perfect choice
Everything was perfect. organization and service beyond our expectations. The waiters are attentive to our needs and always ready to serve. The show was interesting and beautiful. The atmosphere of the party was created by the people who chose to spend New Year's Eve on the Bosphorus. I recommend!
