これは単なる「観光ツアー」ではありませんが (見どころはたくさんあります)、アイルランドの歴史の主な特徴 (イギリスによる征服、アメリカとフランスの革命の影響、大飢餓、闘争) を詳しく紹介しています。独立、北アイルランド和平プロセス、Brexit — 歴史の大学院生によるものです。

ツアーはトリニティ・カレッジの正門向かいにあるグラッタン像、カレッジ・グリーンを出発し、アイルランド最古の大学（1592年）としての歴史と、ラテン語で書かれた4つの福音書の8世紀の写本であるケルズの書という最も貴重な遺物の概要を概説するキャンパスに入ります。
もともとはアイルランドの植民地時代の議会で、1729 年に建設されましたが、1800 年の連合法によって廃止され、特に 18 世紀の新古典主義建築の「プロテスタントの台頭」を象徴しています。
もともと取り壊しが予定されていたこの狭い通りのエリアは、1990 年代に「ダブリンの文化地区」として再利用されました。
ウッド キーは、西暦 840 年に都市を建設したバイキング都市の 1980 年代に大規模な考古学的発掘が行われた場所でした。
1919 年から 1921 年にかけての独立戦争を終結させた 1921 年 12 月の条約を支持する者と反対する者との間で、1922 年 6 月に内戦が始まったアイルランドの法務本部。
ダブリンで最も古い大聖堂 (1030 年) で、1170 年代の最初のイギリスの侵略の中心人物であったストロングボウによって 1170 年代に石で再建されました。
内部には、ダブリン初のカトリックの市長 (1840 年) であるダニエル オコンネルの像があります。彼は、すべての反カトリック法の終わりであるカトリック解放 (1829) の成功したキャンペーンを主導したため、「解放者」として知られています。
元々は 1204 年に (「悪い」) ジョン王によって建設され、1922 年まで英国政府の本拠地でした。また、ダブリンの名前の由来となったダブ リン (黒いプール) の場所でもありました。

Daragh was a phenomenal tour guide. He gave such an eloquent and concise introduction to Irish history that set the tour group up very to understand the significance of all the things we saw. 10/10 would recommend to future visitors to Dublin.

Our guide (the potato man) was clear, knowledgeable and personable. He managed the group extremely well and was easy to hear. It was great not to have to use a Vox type ear bud. Two hours was the perfect amount of time.
