From the moment I contacted Ximena from the Machupicchu Viajes Peru agency, she organized a 12-day trip through Peru for me that was INCREDIBLE; they were attentive to everything from the moment I booked it from Spain, and here, every day, she was on top of us to see if everything was correct.

An extraordinary experience in Cusco and Machu Picchu, especially thanks to Sandro and Ximena.
We traveled to Cusco as a family, my wife, my 12-year-old daughter, and I, and we had an extraordinary experience from beginning to end.
We did several activities with them, and each one had something special:
The Cusco City Tour allowed us to approach the city from a different perspective, getting to know places, details, and stories that we probably would have overlooked if we had toured it on our own.
The Sacred Valley tour was especially comprehensive. We visited archaeological sites, the impressive Maras salt mines, and had a very interesting introduction to the traditional production of alpaca textiles. Everything was done in a very personalized way, without ever feeling like we were simply following a conventional tourist itinerary.
The visit to Machu Picchu was, of course, spectacular. I want to particularly highlight all the coordination of the transfers to Ollantaytambo, the train, and our arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo. Logistics that could seem complicated turned out to be very simple thanks to your organization. Furthermore, after living the experience, I consider it practically essential to tour Machu Picchu with a good guide: understanding its history, architecture, and significance completely transforms the visit.
Finally, we did the Rainbow Mountain. It is a physically demanding excursion, but the effort is amply rewarded upon arrival. Both the landscape and the experience of being there are truly memorable.
Above all, we want to highlight our guide, Sandro. He accompanied us during the different activities and was exceptional. He is an extremely cordial, pleasant, and warm person, with profound knowledge of Inca culture and history. He always adapted to our pace and, something especially important when traveling with a child, we never felt rushed or pressured to follow a rigid itinerary.
Beyond being an excellent guide, Sandro is an extraordinary person and managed to make us feel during those days that we were touring Cusco accompanied by someone close, not simply by a tourist service provider. His recommendations for restaurants and places to eat were also excellent. I would recommend him without any doubt for practically any tour that someone might want to take in Cusco and its surroundings.
We also want to especially thank Ximena, who coordinated our trip from the first contact via WhatsApp when we were still in Mexico and was attentive to all the organization until our stay in Cusco. Having that prior communication gave us a lot of peace of mind.
We are left with wonderful memories of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and the Rainbow Mountain, but also with the memory of the people who made it possible for us to enjoy the trip so much.
If we ever return to Cusco, we would undoubtedly do our tours with them again and would ask again for Sandro to be our guide. Totally recommended.

Saber que logró acompañarlos respetando siempre su ritmo, especialmente viajando con su hija, y que terminó siendo alguien cercano durante esos días, es probablemente uno de los mejores reconocimientos que puede recibir un guía. Sandro estará muy feliz de saber que no solo valoraron sus conocimientos y recomendaciones, sino también la manera en que los hizo sentir durante todo el recorrido.
Ximena también estará encantada de leer su mensaje. Haber podido acompañarlos desde ese primer contacto en México hasta su llegada y estancia en Cusco, dándoles tranquilidad desde la planificación, es justamente el tipo de atención que buscamos brindar desde el inicio.
Nos quedamos también con algo muy bonito de su reseña: al final, los lugares son inolvidables, pero muchas veces son las personas quienes terminan haciendo que el viaje sea realmente especial.

Great tour!

Communication to be improved
We booked with this agency a two-day and one-night tour to visit the Machu Picchu. Despite some very positive aspects, there were structural problems that affected the organization of our trip.
The website shows a detailed schedule with precise times, on the basis of which we had arranged our travels. However, it is not specified that this programme is purely indicative. The final confirmation (with the new timetables) was communicated to us only the day before departure, at the time of the balance.
This has caused several logistical disruptions:
-Forced advance: The outbound train was brought forward, forcing us to leave 3 hours earlier than planned.
Delays in the tour: The entrance to Machu Picchu was postponed to late morning, effectively postponing the entire travel plan by another 3 hours and forcing us to return to the hotel in cuzco late in the evening, not the best if the next day you have to wake up at 2am to visit the rainbow Mountains.
Late communication: Receiving this information only 24 hours in advance makes it difficult to handle any contingencies. We believe that the agency should be more transparent, clearly stating on the website that schedules are subject to reconfirmation.
We must give credit to the agency for trying to remedy the inefficiencies: to compensate for the inconvenience, they offered us an upgrade for the train and a free tour to Rainbow Mountain. An appreciated gesture that shows attention to the customer, despite the initial organizational flaw.
The real added value was our guide, Domingo. Absolutely fantastic: competent, empathetic and professional. If I could only rate him, it would be a full 10!
The hotel was nice and comfortable.
A little warning for travelers: pay attention to terminology for beds! In the Hispanic context, "Double" often indicates a twin room, while for the double bed, "Double/Queen size" must be specified.

Ci dispiace che la comunicazione sugli orari definitivi non sia stata sufficientemente chiara fin dall’inizio. Gli orari pubblicati sul sito sono indicativi e possono essere soggetti a riconferma in base alla disponibilità dei treni, agli ingressi a Machu Picchu e alla logistica del giorno, ma riconosciamo che questo aspetto avrebbe dovuto essere comunicato in modo più evidente e con maggiore anticipo.
Comprendiamo inoltre i disagi causati dalle variazioni dell’orario di partenza, dall’ingresso posticipato a Machu Picchu e dal conseguente rientro tardivo a Cusco. Soprattutto quando il giorno successivo è già previsto un tour molto mattutino, questi cambiamenti possono incidere significativamente sull’organizzazione del viaggio.
La ringraziamo anche per aver riconosciuto il nostro tentativo di rimediare alla situazione con l’upgrade del treno e il tour alla Rainbow Mountain. Per noi era importante cercare una soluzione concreta e dimostrare che avevamo preso seriamente in considerazione il disagio creato.
Un ringraziamento particolare anche per le parole dedicate a Domingo. Sapere che, nonostante le difficoltà organizzative, la sua professionalità e il suo modo di accompagnarvi abbiano lasciato un ricordo così positivo è per noi molto importante.
Apprezziamo inoltre il suo chiarimento sulla terminologia delle camere e dei letti: è un’osservazione utile anche per altri viaggiatori e ci aiuta a rendere le informazioni ancora più precise.
Grazie ancora per la sua onestà, per i suggerimenti costruttivi e per aver riconosciuto sia gli aspetti da migliorare sia quelli positivi della sua esperienza. Recensioni come questa ci aiutano concretamente a migliorare il nostro servizio.

3/2 Day Machu Picchu Tour booked outside the Cruise Ship
We took a risk by booking a tour outside of the cruise line. Although we worried about the ship leaving us behind, the tour operator made sure we returned on time. In fact, we arrived back at the ship a few hours early, which gave us the chance to browse the souvenir shops by the port! We stayed at the Wyndham Hotel in Cusco, and everything was smooth from beginning to end—from the initial pickup to the drive back to the pier. The only issue we had was that our driver didn't understand any English; luckily, we had Google Translate. Aside from that, we had a great experience!

A very personal experience
Our guide and driver could not have been more helpful. The bus was just for us but was modern clean and tidy. The visits to the archaeological sites and the weavers were fascinating and breaks were timed around our needs. I can't recommend this outing to highly

Private tour to easily enjoy Machu Picchu
It's very hard to book transportation from Cusco to Machu Picchu and get tickets to Machu Picchu. We had them do it all, and this tour was private, and we knew exactly what the guide was saying. I also had a lot of photos taken. You can enter the village hot springs and see the village. I thought the price was a bit high, but it's private and worth it. It's a pity that the car to and from the train was not on time and I was so worried.
