Basically you get offered what is booked, but unfortunately with critical cultural experience which was difficult for me to bear. Absolute mass tourism like I've never experienced before, which seems intensively planned at first, but then loses planning security due to poor communication on board and due to one of the 7 people spamming one on WhatsApp app. So we learned at 23:00, on request mind you, that we would look at the edfu temple at 4:30. The rest of that day, again, no program was planned. Days one and three, on the other hand, were packed with sights. An overall overview of the processes would have been helpful. Unfortunately, there wasn't even on demand. The sights are all visited simultaneously by countless (if I had to estimate I would say 30) cruise ships and are therefore extremely crowded. In addition, astronomical recommendations for tipping are brought to your attention at every opportunity. So I got the impression that the cruises were not paid for by the organization but lived on tips There was a meat-rich buffet with little to no healthy alternatives to food (insofar as one abstains from raw food because of the concern about diarrhoea). But a wide selection of dessert. Overall, the buffet was ok.
The Nile Cruise was exceptional and our guide Ahmed Abass was very knowledgeable and educated us on all of the culture and history we saw. I highly recommend touring with him.
The room was clean, spacious, with a big window to look outside. The bathroom was also good, with hairdryer, shower and amenities. The swimming pool was a plus, and a great way to see the Nile. The restaurant offered different options and the staff was always very kind and ready to help.
Our experience was terrible. The company never contacted me that the trip was canceled. The phone number was not answered. I was told to try WhatsApp and no response. After 2 long calls the morning of our scheduled departure our travel company was finally able to confirm it was not going. We ended up having to book an emergency car service to take us from Aswan to Luxor
This terrible company canceled our 3 day/2 night Aswan to Luxor cruise just 5 DAYS before the start of the cruise! No explanation other than it was “urgent”. We all know our reservation (made over two months ago) was cancelled because Cupid travel wanted to sell our cabins to someone else for more money. Unacceptable and so completely unprofessional. I can’t even believe Viator uses this scam company! These jokes of a tour company left my family of four (two young daughters) high and dry after we had already booked flights to Aswan and built our Egyptian itinerary around this cruise. No remorse, no thought of the customer, only “sorry”. Oh wait, actually they said they could rebook us on another cruise if only we paid $1000 more. Unreal!!!!
Expensive for what it is and for the prices you will find on your own. You can easily visit the temples by yourself/yourselves and not miss out on anything since all the entrances are charged extra anyaways... not impressed by the experience.
We had a very good time during the Nile cruise! The service was quick and friendly, the days trips were offered in small groups and different languages, the sunsets from the view deck were amazing, the buffet was good (salads, main dishes, soups) and everything was always on time. Our guide Ahmed was very considerate and answered all of our questions. He is really an expert in egyptian history! There only thing to be “criticized” was that the card for the room door didn’t work properly, I think the door had a lose connection… All in all a great experience, especially if you want to see many things/temples in a short time.
A great way to see a lot of sites in a short period. Our guide Ahmed was excellent. Really informative and got us around efficiently without missing anything. Really well organised and would recommend.
Tour guide was exceptional. Got to cover most of the key places within three days. The food was bit bland and not too tasty. The rooms were not done up since the 1990s and the towels were dirty. Overall the exposure and the experience is great.
The best part of the cruise was the guided tours. Owf Naggar is an amazing tour guide. His attention to detail is exceptional. He has amazing knowledge of ancient and current history. You will not be disappointed with him as a tour guide .
