I had an amazing experience on segway visiting Berlin! The tour guide was very patient with my mom who was doing It for the first time. After a great explanation and a quick training we were all ready to go. I've been to Berlin many times before, but never seen as much as during this tour! Highly recommend!

Despite arriving 10mins before our start time of 1600, our guide Franco did not show up until 1645. There was no one at the office to advise us what was happening we were just told he’s running late from another group. When he did show up we had high hopes as he seemed very enthusiastic and was apologetic about his lateness. During his intro he told us he earned his money through fees and the tips at the end and he assured us he had a card machine for tips if we had no cash. I have never experience this on a tour before unless it has been a free walking tour. He then informed us we could chose between 2 options; the tour seeing all the points advertised or the much better option which was “Franco’s” tour where we would see a much more interesting side of Berlin. We opted for his tour and we were v disappointed to be informed half way through that we were staying in East Berlin for the whole tour. Fortunately we were in Berlin for several days so were able to make sure we did see all we wanted - just not on this tour! The tour did not get any better and finished in less than 2 hours which included the guide insisting on stopping for 20 mins for a hot drink. We were the only 2 on the tour and neither of us drink hot drinks! I have done Segway tours in various cities around the world and have always found them to be a fun and informative experience, alas not this one!
