Absolutely wonderful experience with RealEgypt/RealFayoum, and have already recommended the trip to others. As a solo female traveler from the US who has been to Egypt before, I was looking for something very specific: a private tour to a new area off the beaten track and away from crowds, focused on history and culture, and all on a very specific two-day schedule. This fit perfectly. Amr and Ayman were both expert drivers and driving in the 4x4 across the desert was a blast. Karima was such a knowledgeable and professional guide, while also being fun and kind. I would book again with her happily. The trip goes to places I could never have gotten to on my own -- my favorites were the Ptolemaic-era Dimeh es-Seba3 (Soknopaiou Nesos in Greek) and Wadi el-Hitan (Valley of the Whales). In both places, there were few or no other tourists. This trip is more expensive than others, and I say you get what you pay for -- this is worth it.

I had a wonderful experience with Real Egypt as a solo traveler with Ahmed my guide and Ahmed our driver. Both were super friendly and informative and everything went very smoothly. I booked two separate day trips. They picked me up promptly on both days. The first day was to the Dahshur/Saqqara/Memphis area and the next day we went to the Fayoum Oasis region. Ahmed was full of information about all the sites. Also I was treated to an excellent lunch on both days which was a big bonus! Highly recommended. If I ever return to Egypt I'll definitely book any tours through Real Egypt again!

Had a marvellous 2 week trip to Egypt - mixing and matching with Real Egypt support. The 3 day sail on the Nile was a highlight- beautiful boat, marvellous staff, lovely food and service, great outings with our super guide Jasmina. Also had an overnight in the desert at Tunis which was a delight. All our guides were great, along with transfers etc. Guides were knowledgeable, fun and kind - felt very well looked after. Real Eqypt also managed to get our tickets for the GEM - which was proving quite difficult ( don’t know why) Many thanks to Marwa for all her help and support. Cannot recommend Egypt enough. Miriam

This land tour was one of those rare trips where logistics disappear, and you’re simply present. From Luxor to Cairo, then out to the White Desert and up to Alexandria, everything was coordinated in a way that let us focus on what mattered. The guide quality here was exceptional. These are not “basic guides” reciting facts. They are savvy, highly educated, outstanding storytellers, and you can feel that they truly studied and lived this history. They make complex archaeology easy to understand, and they know how to pace a site so you absorb it instead of rushing through it. But beyond the knowledge, they also feel like a close friend you’ve known for years. Warm, attentive, funny when the moment needs it, and always looking out for you. Just as important, the entire support team was outstanding. The drivers were punctual, safe, and incredibly flexible. The staff in general, including the local families and nomads we met along the way, were resourceful, friendly, and always willing to adapt. You could ask for small changes, a quick stop, a different meal option, or help with anything, and you would never see annoyance. They were open to feedback anytime, and that made the trip feel easy and personal instead of rigid. Sites like Karnak, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings are overwhelming if your guide is just marching you through highlights. Here, we got context, meaning, and time to ask real questions. The pacing was smart. Egypt can become a checklist fast, but this didn’t feel like that. You could tell the agency had done this route many times and knew where time gets wasted, where crowds hit, and how to protect the experience. The White Desert was a personal favorite. It’s not just “a desert.” It’s silence, geology, fossils, and a sky that makes you rethink your sense of scale. We saw natural “bazaars” in the sand, crystals and fossils that look like the desert is quietly showing you millions of years in your palm. Cairo and Alexandria were also handled well. Cairo is intense, but the itinerary brought structure to the chaos. And Alexandria gave us that Mediterranean breath and a totally different chapter of Egypt. What made it special, though, was the human side. The real Egypt showed up everywhere. People who help without performing. Homemade food. Smiles from tour guides and drivers that feel like sunrise. That kind of warmth can’t be manufactured, but a good agency creates the conditions for it to happen naturally and safely. If you want a tour that’s organized, culturally rich, and genuinely memorable, I’d recommend them without hesitation.

perfect trip.. Mohammed and the other guides went ahead of the schedule to fulfill all my needs. highly recommended company. as a solo traveller I felt very safe all the time with them.

Ahmed was the perfect guide. The chauffeurs were friendly with good driving scills. The hotel was idyllic with a lush garden and nice beds. The sights were fantastic. For short everything was perfect.

me and my family went for a 2 day tour in Fayoum desert and had a blast. Karem (our guide) and Youssef (our amazing driver) are a young,dynamic duo that took us around and made sure we had the best experience possible. Their energy was immaculate. Everything was well explained and the places they took us to were breathtaking. We had a lot (and i mean a lot) of fun driving on the dunes and we always felt safe. The adrenaline rush is real!!! Sandboarding was a wonderful experience and we got to watch the sunset on top of a dune too!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone and if you can get Karem and Youssef to go with you, they made the day even more special!!
