What a magical experience! The whole logisitical process from beginning to end was very smooth - online booking, communication before the tour, payment etc. All that allowed us to enjoy an extraordinary 2 hours off the coast of Tenerife, seeing 3 pods of pilot whales and then several dolphins. To describe Ion as a tour guide is a massive understatement! He is captain of the boat, he is an expert guide giving detailed explanations about these beautiful creatures in both English and Spanish, he is a photographer and clearly passionate about the environment and the welfare of the animals. The boat is a Zodiac dirigible, small but comfortable for the 10 passengers on our trip. The advantage of the small boat is that it can approach the whales to the permitted distance without scaring or stressing the whales. We heard the whales communicating with whistles and clicks through the hydrophone deployed by Ion - another one of his skills! Because we were able to see so many pods of pilot whales and dolphins we stayed out, well offshore, for almost the full 2 hours. Consequently, as a final treat, Ion blasted back to the harbour at top speed with a very, very happy group of passengers.

Today we went on a tour with Captain Ion, and we had a wonderful experience! He was extremely kind and friendly, and he explained everything about the tour with genuine enthusiasm and care, including what we might see along the way. The atmosphere was very interactive and enjoyable, which made the whole experience even more special. We definitely recommend this tour! 😊

We just had an absolutely wonderful whale watching tour with our guide Ion. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. Communication was fast, friendly and reliable, and the whole booking process went smoothly. Ion was warm, friendly and attentive. He took the time to answer every question and made sure that everyone on board felt included and comfortable. What we appreciated most was the respectful way the tour was conducted. There was no chasing or feeding the animals, and whenever we had a sighting, the engine was turned off so we could simply observe and enjoy the moment without disturbing them. Ion also shared so much interesting information with us, so we didn’t just have an amazing experience, but learned a lot along the way. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience, Ion! I really wanted to do this activity, because I love the sea and I was very eager to live this experience. And the truth is that it totally met my expectations. Our guide, Ion, who is also a biologist, was very involved so that we could enjoy and see the animals, always from a perspective that is very respectful of them and their environment. I loved that throughout the experience you were telling us facts, curiosities, and information about the animals we were encountering, because it made the activity much more interesting and special. Furthermore, we had a small problem with the reservation because of us and, even so, you helped us solve it when you perfectly could have not done so. That detail says a lot about the team. You are all super friendly and approachable, and you make the experience even more unique and pleasant. Without a doubt, it is very much worth doing this activity with you. I am taking away a beautiful memory and, if I were to return to Tenerife, I would repeat it without any doubt.

Everything worked out great. Ion explained everything great about the animals and the protected area, and also talked about Mount Teide. It was especially nice to hear the whales underwater through the hydrophone. Top 😊

We’re so happy we chose this whale-watching tour! It was clear from the very beginning that the crew genuinely loves and respects marine life. The whole experience felt very eco-friendly and responsible — there was absolutely no chasing or disturbing the animals, just observing them respectfully in their natural environment. The crew was incredibly kind, spoke excellent English, and shared lots of interesting information about the whales, dolphins and the local marine ecosystem. You could really feel their enthusiasm, and they made the experience both educational and enjoyable. We were especially impressed that they even collect any rubbish they come across in the ocean during the trip. A wonderful experience with people who truly care about the animals and the ocean. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an ethical and respectful whale-watching tour in Tenerife!
