Pim and driver were excellent with advice and information about all places visited. The overnight hotel was 1st class and food choice guidance was very good. The tour was well paced and flexible, taking into account our age and interests. I would highly recommend this tour and these guides. Thank you
A great tour with our driver/guide Moo! He was great about explaining the background and history/ culture of the places and people we saw, and picked some great restaurants for us to eat. Highly recommend! I would note that other reviews mentioned a driver AND guide, but Moo had both roles- we hope he got compensated appropriately!
We booked a two-day, one-night tour in Chiang Rai. Odi, the guide, and Mr. T, the driver, were very helpful throughout the journey. The vehicle was very comfortable, we visited many places — maybe a bit tiring for my son because of the long drives - but they were flexible and adapted to our requests. It was nice to talk with Odi — he explained a lot about the places we visited. The restaurants were very simple, but truly local, and we appreciated all of them. My son fell and hurt himself at the Chiang Rai night market — nothing serious, but I had the impression that Odi knew how to manage the situation, even if it wasn't necessary, but it was reassuring. The hotel just outside Chiang Rai was simple (especially breakfast), but good, with a very beautiful pool. Recommended.
Odi was the best tour guide we have had in our travels as a family in many years. Not only was everything organised perfectly his knowledge and details was superb ! Me and my three sons has an incredible three day tour of the north that will leave memories forever - if you are looking to go to Chiang Mai Chiang rai and visit the highlights leave it to ODI and team - thanks for the amazing memories hopefully one day we will be back again
Everything was very good (perfect :)) during the private trip : shedule timing, nice van, hotel Maryo (sure worth 3 stars!), food in restaurant , as mentioned in program….the guide even allowed us to adapt the program a bit to our own wishes during the trip! We had an amazing two day private tour with Chiang Mail Local Tours, and would give it 10 stars if we could. Our guide, Odi, was genuinely interested in showing us the sites and providing interesting historical and cultural context. He welcomed our many questions and was eager to make sure we had a fulfilling experience. Ton, our driver, was also terrific, besides being a great driver. Both Odi and Ton were fun to be with and it didn't take long to feel like we were all friends. They picked us up from our airbnb in Chiang Mai on time in a beautiful, clean, air conditioned van. We toured all of the places listed, as well as a few bonus stops. Odi was great about talking with the locals along the way, and filling us in with information they shared - he is extremely personable, and helped us engage with the the people at each experience. The food was also an incredible experience, with Odi taking us to his favorite stops, making great recommendations, and being more tan generous with his ordering. Lunch on the second day was at his favorite roadside restaurant at the home of a mother/daughter team, which we would never had considered stopping at on our own. It was a true treat. My daughter says the two lunches we had with Odi and Ton were the two most delicious meals we had during our trip. I can't say enough about what a terrific experience this was, and would love to do another tour with Chiang Mai Local Tours if in Thailand again.

Great Company the tour was very well organised with air conditioned travel and the guide was brilliant. We went to the Elephant Sanctury and Bamboo Rafting which was amazing. Visited lots of Temples and the Golden Triange. Meals and accommodation were first class
From the planning of our personalized 2 day itinerary to the actual tour, communication was great and we felt comfortable about our booking. And on the actual private 2 day tour - we had a great time! Nu is a fantastic guide! Personable and friendly. We had the time we needed to explore the various sites as well as the information and history. Nu is very knowledgeable and kind. Excellent driver too. We really appreciated him!
The tour was very well organised and our guide, Mr Jo, very nice and professional. He gave us time enough to go around the sites and always provided us with some water. I would have expected only a bit more detailed information about sites and temples, but this is the only thing I can say. The tour is worth the money as you see many things difficult to manage to go and visit on your own. I would definitely recommend it
