We felt safe even when on busy streets as they have excellent bike lanes. Our guide Barbara was friendly and knowledgeable.

Bike ride was really good. Great way to get your bearings and see things you might want to explore more. The bikes are quite powerful so you can do it with most ability levels, guide was well informed and patient allowing photos and a quick look around. The bikes are quite powerful. Only area for improvement is they had a limited amount of medium helmets

The positives: Beautiful city, beautiful weather, and a really enjoyable way to see the sights while learning some history along the way. The e-bikes were excellent and made getting around very easy. Overall, I would recommend the tour as a fun way to explore the city. The negatives: Our guide, Barbara, cycled very fast. In fact, this was easily the fastest-paced bike tour I’ve done in a city anywhere in the world! It often felt like we were cycling at top speed rather than enjoying a leisurely sightseeing tour. At one point, she managed to lose half the group because she was going so fast and didn’t really seem to look back to check that everyone was still with her. A slower pace would have made the experience considerably more enjoyable. A few practical things could also be improved. No bottled water was provided, despite it being listed as included in the booking. There were no baskets or straps for carrying a bag or jacket, and no water-bottle holders on the bikes. These are small things, but on a long bike tour they make quite a difference. I also didn’t find Margaret Island particularly interesting, so I’d suggest reconsidering that stop — especially if removing it would allow the tour to be a little more relaxed. There were also some long hills and sections of cycling alongside traffic, so I think the booking information could describe the terrain and conditions in more detail, so people know exactly what they’re signing up for. Finally, I think everyone should be encouraged — or perhaps required — to take an e-bike. You can currently choose a conventional bike, but cycling up to Buda Castle without an e-bike would be quite a workout! The rest of the group then ends up waiting at the top for the brave souls who chose the traditional option. Overall: A great concept, lovely sights and a fun way to see the city. Just slow the pace down a little, make sure the group stays together, and provide the promised water — this is a sightseeing tour, not the Tour de France/Hungary 😄

My guide Michelle was WONDERFUL! I had such a great time in the tour. She was very knowledgeable and guided us all around flawlessly. I learned a ton and got several recommendations of other places to check out after the tour concluded. Loved seeing the city on bike as I felt like we covered so much ground I really got a good idea of Budapest.

Excellent tour. Our guide had a PHD in history and was incredibly interesting. Ride was at a good pace, new bikes, with approx 9 people. Location of rental office was very convenient.

It was ok. Nothing special. Tours are made by the guide and ours “phoned it in.” Seemed to follow a script and had little interest.

Very informative and very knowledgeable about Hungarian history. A good guide who took their time to tell interesting stories and tips about Budapest

We had a great tour on good quality e-bikes, to all the main Budapest landmarks with our guide Senem.

This Tour, if it has been executed properly, would’ve been excellent. The Tour Guide, a very young man was not a Hungarian local and was from a country with a very heavy accent. It was very difficult to understand him, and I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. Additionally, he tried to give a historical background to what we were looking at, but he gave no specific dates for anything. He talked about the Ottoman occupation he talked about the Austrian occupation. Talked about the German occupation. We gave no dates. It was clear that he was not very knowledgeable on the facts. I also got a flat tire at some point and he was so far ahead that I had to send another member of the Tour group to go get him for me. He immediately stepped into action, called his colleague and got her to come out with a new bike, but he was too far ahead for me to be able to get his attention. On several occasions, I had to ask him to slow slow down or at least keep an eye on where the rest of the group was. Additionally, I had never been on the bike before and there was absolutely no training on how to use it. There were too young individuals running this entire operation and I think somebody management should get involved and check the bikes before they go out, probably have them rotated, so not the same bikes or used every time so that flat tires occur less frequently. There should also be some sort of training for someone who has never used and he bike. The route was excellent however like I said good idea poor execution.
