ENG: My husband and I had a wonderful visit accompanied by our guide, Tina. She picked us up directly from our hotel in a clean and comfortable car and also suggested the best time to start our visit. During the drive to the site, Tina gave us a very interesting and detailed introduction to the history of the different dynasties that ruled China over the centuries. She also explained how the site was discovered and how it has gradually been excavated and brought to light. Tina had purchased our tickets in advance and arranged the entry time, making the whole visit very smooth and well organized. She accompanied us through the different sections of the site, explaining everything we were seeing, as well as the areas that are still buried and have not yet been excavated. Her explanations were always clear, interesting and extremely informative. She was an excellent guide and made the visit much more engaging, patiently answering all our questions while also giving us plenty of time to take photographs. I would definitely recommend Tina to anyone planning to visit this site. Having a knowledgeable guide really makes a difference, as without one it would be much more difficult to understand the history of the site and, in particular, to appreciate the differences between the various soldiers of the Terracotta Army. Her explanations were always extremely clear, interesting, and in-depth. She was an excellent guide and knew how to make the visit even more engaging, answering our questions with patience and leaving us all the time necessary to take photographs. I would definitely recommend Tina to anyone who wants to visit this place. Her presence really makes a difference: without a knowledgeable guide, in fact, it would be much more difficult to understand the history of the site and, above all, to recognize the differences between the various soldiers of the Terracotta Army. We had a good tour with Tina - we saw all the sights and learnt a great deal about the Terracotta Warriors. She also helped us book a private foot massage, knew where the best bathrooms were and recommended restaurants! Great fun and very organised! Thank you Tina

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on our private tour of Xi'an! From start to finish, the trip exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide Linda is a Xi'an local and was truly exceptional—she is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, bringing the rich history of places like the Terracotta Warrior museum, Huaxing Palace, and Qinglong Temple to life. The itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to see so many of Xi'an's iconic sites without feeling rushed. We loved exploring the magnificent city walls, the Drum and Bell Towers, and the awesome Big Goose Pavilion. A major highlight was our visit to the Muslim Quarter, where we not only saw the vibrant culture but also got to taste some of the most delicious local food. The entire experience felt personal and authentic. We can't thank Linda, our driver, and the tour company enough for an incredible trip. This tour is a must for anyone who wants to dive deep into the history and culture of Xi'an.

If you're wondering whether to do it yourself or get a guide I'd 100% recommend getting one, some of the best sites are quite far out of the city, and the history is best explained by Lilly. (This is coming from someone who speaks and reads basic Chinese!) We had a two day flexible private tour with Lilly, who is from Xian herself and she was absolutely outstanding. Chinese history is long and complicated, but everything was easily explained and made sense. We went to the terracotta museum but also another tomb called hang yang ling where there were no crowds whatsoever and an even better preserved mini army. On the second day we went to Hua Shan, which was a stunning hike with spectacular view. We couldn't get tickets to the west peak because of high winds on the top, but had a fantastic climb and hike from the north peak) During our time in Xian also did a day by ourselves and it was nowhere near as good as the two days with Lilly. Lilly's English is exceptional, et en plus, elle parle aussi couramment français!
