Picking up the bikes was very confusing. The tour confirmation through TripAdvisor lists "Ridesmart Maui Electric Bikes". There is no signage for this business. The tour starts from a motorcycle shop that I forget the name of and there is a small sign for Black Rock Bikes inside the motorcycle shop - I confirmed this is the same business as Ridesmart Maui. Then, the gentleman Nate who is supposed to coordinate the tours wasn't there. I called and texted the number on the sign for Black Rock Bikes and didn't receive any response. Eventually, another person arrived whom Nate apparently asked to assist us. This person smelled strongly of weed and acted like he was a little high, asked "Do you guys want helmets?" as an afterthought (I feel like this should be a requirement, not an option), and didn't do much to explain where to go or what to do. The e-bikes themselves were in decent condition. Definitely well used but they functioned well and were simple to understand. And once we started riding, we had a fantastic time. The island is beautiful, the drivers were respectful for the most part, and lots of interesting places to visit along the way.

The people didn’t show up at all. We didn’t get to have this experience unfortunately. The kids were pretty upset.

We had one more day left and booked it and they never showed up at all. The worst possible experience. Would not recommend.

Nate was fantastic. He explained everything completely and was patient with me because it was my first time on an e-bike. He gave us a map with routes to take for the best views and adventures. His prices were reasonable and the bikes were in great shape. He took the time to make sure we picked the best bikes for our level of comfort.

They are firm on their 250 weight limit, I am over that and 2 months prior filled out their questionary with no malice about my weight, the day of the ride, they canceled because of my weight, I paid them and am not getting back money cause it was my fault that they read my info the day of, I will not recommend them onmy videos

Get an Electric Bike that works! Make sure everything works before you take off! Our experience wasn’t positive because we got out on the road and one bike didn’t work! Very disappointing.

This was an awesome activity for our adult teen and toddler twins. It was a self guided ebike tour on full throttle Type 1 e-bikes. We were able to navigate in between hotels and along the coast. The additional power from the throttle really helped on tired legs from our pack daily activities. Nate was super helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating to say the least. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Incredible bikes made it easy and fun- we cruised all over kanapali and had incredible views everywhere we went. Nate got us up to speed fast

Nate was super helpful, he called me one day before our booking to give me tips on how to get there and other information on the area. He spent a good amount of time with our large group explaining the best spots to visit. Biking was an awesome way to explore Lahaina.

There are thorny branches all around the bike path they recommend (which we took). It was very windy and as careful as we were to avoid these branches and thorns while riding, two of our “all-terrrain” bikes got flat tires. This was unavoidable and now they are charging my credit card for $120. They claim it was because I kept riding after they were flat but I had no idea until we returned when my friend’s tire was flat. Very rinky-dink operation and the owner/manager just flat out lies. He says he will cut and paste his response to my text on this review. Wonder if I’ll be able to add his lies.
