This was a very interesting and enjoyable tour. The boat ride across Lake Titicaca was comfortable, and there were plenty of beautiful views to enjoy. We liked visiting the islands, but spending the night on Amantani made the experience more special. The local family was welcoming, and it was nice to share a little of their daily life. Abel was helpful and professional and made sure we knew what was happening throughout the tour. A great experience overall.

Two days went by very quickly, and I only wish we could have stayed a little longer to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the views a bit more.

The food was also simple and vegetarian, usually soup followed by rice, potatoes and vegetables, but it was fresh and authentic. The hike up to the top of the island for sunset was quite steep, but the views were definitely worth the effort. There were also local people selling handmade products along the way. Later in the evening, our host family dressed us in traditional clothes and took us to the community hall, where everyone joined in singing and dancing. It was a fun and memorable part of our trip.
