I booked a 2-day trip to Hwange with Victoria Falls Serious Fun Travel, and unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. The trip was not well organized from the start — the team in the park didn’t seem to know what we had booked, and we payed extra for a walking safari that was not provided. We spent a lot of time contacting Marvel during the trip to clarify, often having to show our booking confirmation to prove the arrangements. We also had long waiting times between drives while things were being sorted out, and although the hotel was good, meals that should have been included were not. Despite these issues, I want to highlight the positive points: the local guide in Hwange was very helpful and professional; and after we returned, Marvel met with us personally, refunded everything according to the original plan, and offered us a rhino walk as compensation. The rhino walk itself was great, and the Zambian guide, Chris, was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the experience truly enjoyable. Overall, our trip was much more stressful than it should have been due to organizational problems. If you choose to book with this company, I strongly recommend confirming all details in advance and reminding them of the itinerary to avoid misunderstandings.

The communication via WhatsApp was excellent, both before departure and on the trip. I did the 2-day Hwange safari with them as well as the helicopter flight over the Falls for which they offered me a competitive price. I was a solo traveller and on two of the three Hwange game drives (night drive and early morning drive) I was the only passenger. The guide was great. We saw a lot of animals on the morning drive, but no cats. They were also completely reliable: when I paid cash for the helicopter flight they didn't have change but they came to my Victoria Falls hotel in the evening to give me the change and dropped me off at a nice restaurant!
