A fantastic experience—the staff on the ship were very friendly, the food was better than average compared to local restaurants, and the cabin was excellent. Unfortunately, we never met the people from the tour operator in person; we only communicated with them via WhatsApp, and they didn’t stand out for their friendliness or attention to detail (information about the stops and changes to the scheduling always arrived just a few hours in advance, or even only upon request). That aside, the local guides were exceptional. Fatma, in Edfu, was kind, patient, and knowledgeable; Essra, in Luxor, was a cheerful presence and extremely attentive to our needs, as well as knowledgeable and punctual. If you’re willing to overlook a few minor organizational glitches (nothing that really detracts from the experience), the cruise comes highly recommended.
