It was a great experience from start to finish. Our Driver Linus was not only an excellent driver and Safari guide, but he has become a friend to the whole group. Could not have asked for a better experience.

We organized a 2 night safari trip to the Maasai Mara on the 30 Dec - pick up from Glee Hotel in Nairobi. Our driver Linus was on time and was a fantastic guide. He gave us the relevant information on our drive to the safari camp and negotiated the rough roads extremely well. Our safari park drives were excellent - he was very knowledgeable and had very sharp eyes to locate some of the animals. Our accommodation was satisfactory with excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our Maasi Mara village tour too. At the end of our tour, Linus gave us a wonderful tour of Nairobi city. We would definitely recommend Rocktrek Safari's.

This is my first time visiting Kenya. I was on a business trip and only took another two days off for a break, so at first I didn’t think I could do a safari. Then I found safaribookings website, requesting 3 quotes. All of the travel agents were very nice and replied swiftly, but Silas was the only one giving me a phone call, so I chose Rocktrek. And it turned out to be pretty nice. My driver and guide, Linus, managed to let me see 4 of big five, 3 of ugly five and surely a bunch of different antelopes, giraffes, hippos, cheetahs etc. in Maasai Mara. Though May is not yet a season to spot Great Migration, it is neither a bad time to take a safari trip here. I enjoyed a great game drive.

We found Rocktrek Safaris on the site of Safari Bookings. An excellent site to compare options and prices. We requested three quotes, Rocktrek Safaris Ltd. came up with a good proposal, useful advice and the best price. We thought it was a risk not to arrange our safari through a travel agency, but directly with Rocktrek Safaris, but the entire trip was super organized by Silas. He communicated quickly and knowledgeable. His mails were always accurate and very friendly. We had great days with his (jeep) driver and safari guide Linus. Linus is a very friendly person, a good driver and nice tour guide who told us about the many animals we saw, elephants, lions, rhinos, pumbaas and much more. He also drove us around in the Nairobi National Park, to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Giraffe Centre. Linus also showed us Nairobi, walking. We had excellent and carefree safari days with Linus. We highly recommend, Rocktrek Safaris Ltd. with Silas and driver Linus!

We loved the reserve, we were fortunate to see cheetahs and leopards as well as the huge wildebeest and to a lesser extent zebra, herds walking over the enormous plains. There are hippos and crocodiles in the river and giraffe that roam as well. Not to forget the mongoose various birds, elephant etc.

We booked a four-day safari through Rocktrek Safaris and we were a total of 6 adult travelers. All the agreements we had previously spoken through e-mail with Silas were in force and that was a pleasant experience. We didn't have to worry about anything during the safari because everything was organized and prepared. We started our 4-day trip from Nairobi Airport and first day drove to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. At the airport we met our guide-driver Lainas. Lainas was a very professional, pleasant and super good driver. We felt safe with him. At the safari Lainas gave a maximum of himself, that we can see the maximum number of animals and birds. Since Kenyan roads are very extreme and the traffic is crazy, we can honestly say that Lainas was a real pro, coping with very dangerous and difficult situations - incl. offroad, national parks and "high"ways. For two days we visited Masai Mara National Park and saw a lot of birds, animals and great Kenyan nature. We also saw all the big five - Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. Since the cars drive off-road at some point on the safari, this is a topic that the service providers should think through in order to disturb the wild animals less. Bottle water must be guaranteed throughout the trip, at least 1.5 liters of water per person per day, because the air is very dusty and the weather is very hot. Our safari ended on the fourth day and we asked us to be taken to the Nairobi train station and Rocktrek Safaris also helped us buy train tickets. We were very pleased with organizing safari and our trip, we recommend Rocktrek Safaris to others.

We had a 2 night 3 day safari and were so pleased with all aspects of it! We had 5 game drives over this time which we thought were great. Our guide, Geoffrey, was very good at spotting all the animals, including lions, elephants, giraffe, wildebeast and many more. He was very informed about all of the names of birds too. The bus was comfortable too. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a wonderful trip.

My family and I decided to go the Mara we were abit worried as my sister had a six month baby. We made the plans abit last minute but Silas was very helpful he organized everything and the driver was punctual. While at the Mara the driver was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on where to see the animals and what time is most appropriate. Throughout the trip Silas checked up on us and ensured everything went on well. The rates were fair and they matched up to the amazing services they offered. Our trip to the Mara was extremely enjoyable. My family and I are grateful and we hope to go on a safari with you once more.

Thanks to Rocktrek Safaris our tour at the Nairobi National Park became the highlight of our trip! We truly had a safari experience at an amazing cost!First, they were highly recommended due to their level of excellence in customer service. That became evident throughout the process. Joseph worked with us to schedule and the trip,and was very helpful, going over and above to ensure the perfect tour option was selected. He treated us more like friends, rather than a customer. Taking extra steps to make sure we had everything needed, from what to pack for the day, to even contacting our hotel, making sure we had a packed breakfast, and the list continues. In addition, Mofat our tour guide arrived early and was very professional. I highly recommend Mofat if you want great commentary throughout the experience. His English was good, and the information provided was excellent. Also, he was very funny which made the experience even better. Due to his excellent skills we were able to see every animal, which is not common for all tours, from what I've learned. We saw the lions multiple times because he knew how to locate them, along with many other animals. Mofat also gave great advice that saved us lots of money during our trip. Last, our tour truck was really cool, with an opem roof to stand and look. Once we were in the park and saw other tour trucks, it became evident that we were in one of the best and more modern vehicles. Also it was clean and equipped to handle the dirt and muddy roads (very important). Some companies may offer a lower price but they dont have the proper vehicle. Trust me, I saw the faces of those people trying to see a giraffe from a small van without an open roof, cramped with 6 people, all looking uncomfortable and sad. We looked like a party safari bus to them as we pass. Choose wisely! The attention to detail, great price (other companies charged more, and people recieved less), excellent customer service, phenomenal communication skills, and amazing tour throughout the park made this the highlight of our trip.
