1 598 After experiences with dubious agencies in Darwin, or after using GetYourGuide which takes your money but provides no follow-up, such as changing the service provider without consulting me despite a drastic change of appointment (Jump Crocodile) and pickup point to a cheaper company and a less suitable boat, or being abandoned at the Ibirr site (thankfully one of the other clients came back to get me), or considering that crossing Kakadu National Park at 100 km/h in a bus constitutes a proper visit to the park, of which I only saw the row of trees on either side, with few animals unfortunately, but with the noise of the traffic, that's to be expected! I had already visited Kakadu Park a few years ago, but it has now been transformed into mango plantations and cattle ranches! And we didn't see anything except the magnificent Ibir site and that high-speed bus ride, but it wasn't enough for one day. Anyway, I found a company that was very professional and respectful of nature: Cairns Adventure Group, and a driver-guide, Ron, who did his job very well. He was experienced and a very good driver, and he took us to all the important and magnificent sites: the authentic Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, a cruise on the Daintree River and its crocodiles... Much more interesting than the Rainforest Nature Park's cash cow, which is a cash cow in name only. Not to mention the dozens of shops that cover this park and the koalas that are used for photos in tourists' arms, which was shocking.

We went on the tour first our tour guide was Clinton a great guide full of information in a humorous way but very informative Mossman Gorge were we had a welcome to country then some information about the local indigenous man then off to the Mossman Gorge for a swim then off to the Daintree followed by a fantastic Rainforest walk then a river tour finally Cape Tribulation and a beach visit then too top it off an amazing icecream with amazing flavours all up a bucket list tour fantastic

From the very beginning, the booking process was incredibly smooth and quick thanks to Michelle, who made everything easy and stress-free. On the day, Mary, Shaun and Daz were simply outstanding. They brought so much energy, professionalism and fun to the experience, making it not only safe but genuinely unforgettable. Their knowledge, attitude and enthusiasm really made the whole day special. Everything was perfectly organised and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an epic day out in Cairns. I would definitely do it again!

Had a wonderful day exploring the Daintree and cruising the Daintree River (saw a close to 5 metre croc in the wild!) the guide (Michael) was very entertaining and full of hilarious anecdotes and stories which kept the whole bus smiling The whole day. Definitely recommend Cairns Adventure Group for a fun day out!!!

Sunset river cruise………. Please don’t book. We booked on line for Tuesday 14th October. 3 adults, 1 child but the weather took a serious turn for the worse. Thunder, lightening and torrential rain, which started in the morning and stayed all day. I emailed them at 2.30pm asking if it was going ahead as the weather was soooo bad. The reply was they would make the call at 3pm. They then emailed saying the weather had cleared and it was going ahead, so we made our way, even though the weather app showed really bad weather and more to come but there was no refunds allowed. This was our expensive treat to ourselves the end of the holiday. When we arrived it was absolutely chucking it down, thunder etc. I called the office and stated I was in the car but the weather was not conducive to an evening cruise. But no, Steve said it was clearing and to make our way over. There were 12 on board, it did not clear, it hammered down, the plastic sides were down and the rain covered the plastic which obviously meant you could not see a thing, he did open the plastic side near himself and took a soaking so we could see …….. yes you guessed it more of the rain. There were no sights to see, the animals, birds and fish, all had sense and off to bed they went. The commentary was boring, eg someone lives on this boat, this boat was grounded, this one cost 260 million. We all just ended up talking amongst ourselves. The biggest rip off and waste of money ever. Even if it was sunny it’s not worth $79 a person, maybe $30. It was clear to all that they wouldn’t cancel as they would have had to refund the $960 to their paying customers. You get a free drink and a child’s lunch snack pack of cheese and crackers. You can’t go on their website to put on a review as it doesn’t allow you. So I will, find many other ways to let people know, so no one else gets ripped off like we did.

We went to the Daintree Rainforest. Patrick was our guide. He was absolutely excellent, full of really interesting facts and information. He kept the tour on time and ensured that we were properly looked after throughout the day. He has a great sense of humour and was quick to spot the inhabitants of the Rainforest. I cannot recommend this company enough excellent value and a packed day out

My wife and I went on the Daintree Rainforest trip - an amazing experience especially the crocodiles, flying foxes and scenery. Cheryl our tour leader was really friendly and coped brilliantly with a tricky start (organiser off sick without warning) and a few other challenges during the day.

Kyla was a superb tour guide - so knowledgeable about everything from the history of what we were seeing, the native species and its various sights and sounds and uses, to the most popular local ice cream and best restaurants in town. She’s a treasure. BUT the best thing about this company was something I did not see coming. I’d accidentally left my phone on the bus when I got off. Liz and the staff were so helpful and courteous and did everything in their power to locate it. To my utter shock and amazement, they DID find it on one of the buses. I was 8000 miles away from home and they were a huge comfort. My father had recently died and I was heartbroken thinking I might lose his voicemails. They were my HEROES. Because they CARED! Highly recommend this company. PS. The tour itself was very worthwhile in terms of seeing the rainforest. And we even spotted 3 wild crocodiles on the river cruise. 🐊👍🇦🇺❤️

What an amazing tour we did today with Clint as our wonderful guide. Best tour ever of The stunning Daintree Rainforest, Mosman Gorge,great cruise on the Daintree River, Port Douglas and lots of stops for terrific food all inclusive with this tour. Clint you were the best tour guide and Danielle was a delight booking our tour.Thanks so much from Libby,Fern and Linda👍
