The day was packed with activities, the views were spectacular, and the value for money is genuinely excellent. Covering this much ground on foot would have been near impossible — you simply couldn't reach all these places in a single day.
A special shout out to our guides, Sahara, Maria and Suheyla. They were well prepared, endlessly patient, and impressively knowledgeable about the history of Istanbul and every landmark along the way. Highly recommended.

10,000 Steps
Great for the price. The boat ride is only a small portion. We did more than 10,000 steps on all the stops and spent too much time on a bus moving from spot to spot. The guides were awesome, kind and knowledgeable. They saved the trip from being a disappointment. Felt misled that it was a boat tour. It was boat, bus, feet, and cable car.

I highly recommend them!
Today I did the tour with my mom. She was on the Russian-speaking bus, but the guide María always kept an eye on me and made sure I understood everything. She explained each place in a very clear, interesting manner, and with a lot of patience. It is clear that she enjoys what she does, and that made the experience even better. Thank you very much, María! You are the best. I recommend this tour 100%.

Overall, a well-organized day trip to Europe and Asia in one day
We originally planned a day trip to the Princes' Islands, but I will do this at a later time during our then third visit to Istanbul (already in planning again). The city is simply too large and diverse to conquer everything compactly. An approach was the 'Istanbul Asia and Europe Tour' that we booked in English. Unfortunately, there are far too few offers in Istanbul for German-speaking tourists, even though there are many German-speaking tourists in the city and many returning locals also enjoy conversing in German. Nevertheless, this tour was very pleasant and easy to follow in English. We were picked up on time and taken to the starting point at the dock of Eminönü.
We were picked up on time and taken to the starting point at the dock of Eminönü. First, we traveled by ship with a light breakfast along the west bank of the Bosporus, passing by the palaces and luxury hotels up to the city fortifications at the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. On the east bank, on the Asian side, we first visited the Beylerbeyi Palace at the Bosporus Bridge as well as the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque, the largest mosque in Turkey. There is also a great viewpoint over the city and the Bosporus. After a refreshment with a three-course lunch on the ship (lentil soup, braised beef with side dishes plus a salad side and baklava for dessert, along with tea, and optionally a vegetarian main course), the boat trip continued along the east bank, past the Maiden's Tower to the "Golden Horn" to Pierre Lotti Hill. From here, we went up by bus and down by cable car. From above, there is also an excellent view over the European side of the city.
Afterward, we were dropped off in the Balat district while the bus took the other guests to the old town of Istanbul for further city exploration.
It was a fantastic day trip by ship, bus, and cable car, with many great views and experiences. The trip was excellently organized and well-prepared with connections of the respective means of transport between all viewpoints and attractions. A big thank you and special praise go to our tour guide Sarah, who excellently guided us through the day with a wealth of information and easily understandable English explanations.
The tour was absolutely recommendable and can be booked with various travel providers in the city (possibly with minor changes in the itinerary and stops). For a wonderful day with the best weather, there are the full number of stars.

Recommend boat ride
To get a different view of that vibrant city this trip is highly recommended, not just because seeing a lot of places from the water but visiting places normally not in a tourist’s itinerary because they are far north in the Asian side of the Bosporus. The guides acted professionally and the meals provided were simple but good.
