Had a great time exploring the sea cave where we saw sleeping sea lion. Our guides were wonderful.

We had such a wonderful time! We were really nervous at first, but both of our guides gave us step-by-step instructions and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire trip. They made the experience so much fun, and we would definitely do it again. 10/10!

The tour guides are absolutely amazing!! They are very knowledgeable about the water and what’s in it. They let you know what to expect and they are very patient with you.

It was a wonderful experience we had Abby and Danielle and they were both great. Just so you know there was only one cave that you paddle through. I thought there would be more. But the check-in process and the safety was great.

Booking was easy as was check-in the morning of our tour. While Everyday California doesn't have parking onsite, we found parking in close proximity in the surrounding neighborhood. Once checked in, we were guided to changing rooms and to our locker which we purchased separately for $6 dollars. We were then outfitted with our personal flotation device (PFD) and helmets. They also have bathrooms for your convenience. About 15 before your tour start time, you meet your tour guides and group at a gathering place at the front entrance of the shop. From there, you walk with your group three blocks down to the beach where other team members will get you your kayak and paddles. My friend and I choose to do a tandem kayak as it was our first time. After a quick lesson and safety instruction, team members guided us and our kayaks into the surf to get started. It was so fun to get pushed out into the waves where we broke through the surf and paddled our way out beyond the surf break. The 90 minutes you spend is like nothing else you've experienced. It takes effort to paddle but it's something anyone can do. With recent storms of the coast, the water wasn't clear enough to see fish, Leopard Sharks, or Girabaldi fish. We did enjoy seeing the beautiful sea caves, watching California sea lions bask, and lots of sea birds. Our guide, Duke, shared lots of La Jolla shoreline facts which added to our experience. One of my favorite parts was riding the surf back in to the beach. Things to know before you go. 1. You are going to get wet. 2. Dress comfortably in shorts or a bathing suit, add a t-shirt to protect from the sun. 3. Wear reef safe rated sunscreen and don't forget to use on your face and ears. 4. If you don't want to lose it, don't take it. You can get head bands for purchase at the Everyday California shop to keep your glasses on just in case. 5. If you take your cell phone with you for photography, you can purchase a waterproof cell phone protector on Amazon in advance. 6. And finally, HAVE FUN!!! There is nothing scary about ocean kayaking. The guides are experienced and well trained. This is truly something for all ages and skill levels. Kudos to our guides, Rain and Duke. 😁

This was my first time kayaking, and our guides were so professional and knowledgeable about the area.

Expect to get wet and have an adventure. Lots of fun and great experience… would do it again when back in San Diego!

My friend and I booked 2 single kayaks. The store didn’t suggest against it anywhere on the website. When we got to the beach, the guide highly recommended us sharing one double kayak, she said otherwise it would be hard. I felt bad insisting, so we shared one kayak. I asked for a refund for the $129 kayak we paid for but didn’t use. The store refused. There are a lot of other kayak tours in town. Pick one with better service.

We had a blast and our tour guides were amazing!!! We will be doing this again. We were exhausted but enjoyed!!
