A great alternative for those who want to see the Colca Canyon not only from the bus window but don't feel strong enough
A great alternative for those who want to see the Colca Canyon not only from the bus window but don't feel strong enough for the demanding uphill and downhill trek. This tour allows you to experience the canyon and feel close to its nature. Along the way, there were stunning views, beautiful wildlife, and we saw plenty of condors. We also visited a very interesting museum dedicated to the Juanita mummy and local customs and people. Tracy was a wonderful guide – thank you. The hotel was very good, the only downside was the lack of heating – it was freezing cold at night, but that's standard in Peru. The hot springs were a very pleasant feature. A very good idea for those who don't want a demanding trek. I also think the trek along the canyon path could be a bit longer, perhaps 5 hours.

Loved this tour!
What One never knows exactly how things will work out when you book on the internet, but this choice exceeded our expectations. We had a fabulous trip to the Colca Canyon thanks to our guide Fernando. Many stops along the way were made for wildlife sightings such as vicuña, flamingos and other birds. A delightful lunch stop at a mountain top restaurant allowed us condor sightings while we dined. The hike was stunning with abundant wildflowers on the mountain side and spectacular canyon vistas on the other. Fernando willingly shared his knowledge of history, culture, plant and animal life. He welcomed our many questions. We felt fortunate to be the only two people on this tour which allowed Fernando to customize the tour to incorporate two additional short hikes ~ one to watch the sunrise and another to be in more isolated areas to spot the condors, versus being among the huge crowds that had gathered, all the while enjoying more mountain vistas. His experience for spotting things like the condors and minimizing our experience with crowds was evident. We extend a huge thanks to Fernando for making this one of the most memorable tours we have ever done! Thanks also to our driver, Renzo, who safely managed maneuvering through all of the traffic along with the mountain roads.

COLCA 2-Day One-Night Tour with Spectacular Moderate Trekkinng
I made this impressive tour, rest well in the city of Arequipa, left at 6:30 am, went quietly, and making stops along the way, as in the salt reserve, the valley of the COLCA and there was no tourist mass in many viewpoints we were the only ones; we had lunch in the restaurant the farm of the COLCA, from where we could see the condor.
Then we hiked along the edge of the canyon, for 2.5 hours until we reached the town of Cabanaconde, with an overnight stay in a very comfortable house, the next day we went to another viewpoint, Achachigua and saw condors from very close, finally we returned to Arequipa making stops at viewpoints , hot springs and lunch. We arrived in the city of Arequipa at 4 pm.
Highly recommended this mixed tour, with moderate Trekkinng.

Walking to the edge of the canyon
Highly recommended an activity with a two-hour walk, is a not very strong, intensity, regular walk along the edge of the Coca Canyon, where I could enjoy the flight of the condor. very nice landscapes and above all it is not very traveled by tourists, which made the whole tour just for us.
