I took the 2 day / 1 night trip to Hampi as solo traveler. I had Mohan as my driver with Rajesh as local guide, and together they made this an amazing experience. I can absolutely recommend both of them and would love to see them again when I come back to India. Right from the pickup in Bengaluru Mohan was the perfect driver. We could have easy and nice conversations at any time, since he spoke English very well and almost without accent, and also enjoy the ride silently. The driving style was smooth and yet we made good time, without feeling rushed. The car was spacey and comfortable. Really a 5* ride (before, I was somewhat worried about such a long ride in a car, since I'm tall and have back issues). On arrival in Hospet I checked into a very nice 3* hotel (much nicer than my 4* hotel in Bengaluru) and grabbed some lunch, then we started out for Hampi and picked up Rajesh as local guide. Hampi itself is simply amazing and I am so glad I took the time (and money) to visit. It's really a shame that this is not widely known about in the "West". If ever there was an absolute "must-see", it's here. I'm not going to describe the plethora of amazing sites here, there's better resources for that. Within Hampi, Rajesh showed me around and explained everything to me. He was very knowledgable, funny and showed great enthusiasm for the historical sites and his job, which I really enjoyed (compared to some other local guides I encountered, who felt a little like just reciting a text they had learned by heart). Since I traveled during monsoon season, we did have really bad luck on the first day in the afternoon. We were already about to give up, but Mohan and Rajesh smartly suggested a short Chai break, giving the rain time to disappear, then we went back and finally Hampi could really shine as we went to Malyavanta Hill/Temple. I then had dinner in the hotel and, having missed quite some time due to the rain on the first day, I asked Mohan to take me into Hampi early the next day for a chance at the famous sunrise on Matanga Hill. He was so kind and agreed, so I climbed up the hill around 5:30am to the temple, where I enjoyed amazing views even without a perfect sunrise. We then had authentic breakfast at a street vendor together with Rajesh and then resumed the Hampi excursion. The second day ended at the very nice Hampi Archeological Museum in Kamalapura, then Mohan brought me back to Bengaluru safely. We did not stop at Chitradurga Fort, as this would take several hours to explore properly, and was not part of the itinerary.

I had a great two day trip to Hampi. Everything was arranged well. My driver, Mohan, was very friendly and always has the comfort of the client on his mind. The hotel where I stayed was also good. All in all a great experience!

Hampi is spectacular and was very informative about Hindu culture and history. Was worth the long travel.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two day trip to Hampi. Our driver, Mohan, spoke English fluently, so he was able to answer questions on the way. The drive was calm and steady. The ruins at Hampi were extremely impressive - many hectares of city walls and gates, palaces, and temples. Our guide Rajesh gave us clear explanations of the history of all that we saw. The architecture and carvings were fascinating. I'd highly recommend this tour.

they not only do day tours they can do an entire custom tour anywhere in india. I used to to do a tour from banglore to mysore to hampi to banglore. They were top notch they got me a driver in a great car who took me to each city and there was a local guide in each city that took me around all hired by 5 senses. I booked my own hotels. From the email cordinating this to the end it was all great. The driver was professional and i really liked having the independence to just have a guide when i needed them. I am going to use them for all my India travels.

Rajesh was our guide who was very knowledgeable, punctual and a kind person. He took us to all the sightseeing places with patience and explained their significance very clearly. Understanding Hampi requires an excellent guide and Rajesh is the one. He even ad used us regarding places to eat. Thank you Rajesh.

This was a good introduction to Hampi, which was larger and more impressive than I had expected. My experience was enhanced by my guide, Rajesh, who was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions and photography. I would love to come back in the future to explore more.

The drive to Hampi was mainly on the freeway but some interesting sights such as the enormous number of wind turbines dotted across the hills. The drive from Hampi to Hyderabad was more interesting although long as we drove through many villages and towns on Deccan plateau - rural economics and life style was the points of interest. The driver was extremely good and safe and we fully recommend him. The accomodation was fine for an overnight stay and was clean and comfortable. The guide to the Hampi Hindu complex of palaces and temples was knowledgeable but was a little too effusive with his ongoing comments. Overall the complex is a must see and we greatly enjoyed the tour.

This is an excellent tour. Hampi is a wonderfully historical site. It would be easy to spend several days there. This tour provides a great introduction and covers all of the most important sites. My driver Mohan conveyed me safely and comfortably from Bengalaru. He is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver. The air conditioned car was very comfortable. My guide in Hampi Rajesh is very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. He provided great information that really added to my enjoyment and understanding of the various sites. The overnight hotel was very comfortable and has a good restaurant. I have used 5 Senses Tours and Walks before and will definitely use them again. Their arrangements and communication are always first class. Their guides and drivers are always the best. Thanks again to Mohan and Rajesh.
