This is something my husband wanted to do. Other than climb the mountain and visit the monastery, there’s nothing else in the area. So it’s a very long drive Judy for that. Accommodations were very basic. Don’t expect much and you’ll be fine. It is basically a ride to the town and 1 night’s accommodation. The guide did not speak English so there was no commentary about the area. But that was fine as we had already researched everything. Driver was friendly and tried his best to answer our questions. Just a very long ride.
