Great experience, even at the beginning of the tour there was some confusion on our part and theirs, and they took care of fixing it. We felt very comfortable and grateful, we visited and made many stops to see the monasteries from different angles. The guides are well-informed and pleasant. I learned and enjoyed a lot. We did the 2-day tour, it is definitely worth it! I recommend it to everyone who is interested; with Meteoratrip, you only need to worry about enjoying!

Visiting the Meteora Monasteries was a 5 Star event. The 3 Star rating is reflective of the organization which left much to be desired. We arrived at the meeting location by taxi. Several large tour buses arrived parked along both sides of a wide boulevard. There was no tour guide to direct us to which bus to board. It was necessary to check in with each driver to see if our names were on the list. Arriving in the Meteora area the bus driver dropped people at various hotels. We were 2 of the last 2 passengers to be dropped off. The driver was about to get back on the bus to leave when I had to ask which was our hotel as there were several. He looked at me like I was crazy until I showed him that none of the paperwork Viator had provided to me listed a hotel. It was only then he looked at his list to find our names and hotel. The local guides were very knowledgeable

It is a 5 hours drive from Athens; really long way; but worth it. The company, Meteroa Boutique Travel was well organised and everything was on time and very efficient. The local and Athens buses were comfortable. One complaint, which ruined my trip and I truly hope they improve is: the driver on the way back (Sunday, 7 September) had non-stop personal conversations on his mobile phone, I seriously mean non-stop! I’m not exaggerating or saying this lightly. His one conversation lasted 45 minutes and within a minute, he dialled the next number and continued with another very lengthy call. My head was pounding from his constant talking and it continued all the way back to Athens. It was pure hell! Plus he had the radio playing horrific music. It is also nerve-wrecking being in a bus when the driver is focused on personal calls. We were tired and wanting to rest and travel back in peace. Please dear Meteora Travel, ask your drivers to limit personal calls when driving a bus full of tourists.

Fabulous tour from start to finish! Bus trip was smooth and comfortable. Hotel comfortable and friendly. The highlight was our tour guide, Katerina, who really shared her knowledge and the essence of the incredible Meteora with us. The sunset tour was gorgeous and throughout the whole two days we were awed by the experience! Thankyou! A lifetime memory.

The guide was local and knowledgeable about the area. This hike was our favorite activity in Meteora.
The good: amazing views and good local tour guides. The bad: Way too much downtime!!! We booked the overnight tour and the first day we had 3 hours to explore the town before our sunset tour. That was more than enough to see the town. The following day, we did a morning tour that finished around 12:30 but our return bus ride back to Athens was not until 5:30. 5 hours with nothing to do - what a waste of time. When the return bus finally arrived, it was completely full of people who were on a previous tour. So, we had the last 2 seats on a very large bus. I guess we should be lucky to have 2 seats together albeit in the rear of the bus. Very misleading as we were not in any way prepared or notified of this because we booked “a small group tour”. Do not book this overnight trip with “MeteoraTrip”.

Regarding the small group experience, we want to clarify that your booking included two small group Meteora tours, both of which were conducted as promised. Your comments appear to refer to the transportation between Athens and Meteora. Please note that we do not advertise this portion of the trip as a small group service. Due to the long distance, we use full-sized buses to ensure comfort, safety, and efficiency—something smaller vehicles are not able to provide over such distances.
