If you’re considering this tour, please read this review first. Visit Veuve Clicquot’s website to book your tour which would be 60 euro (equivalent to what this tour includes), then book your visit to Pommery, via their website which is 30 euro for a self-guided tour and tasting (same as this tour). The restaurant, La Fontaine, is a really wonderful small family restaurant whose menu items don’t exceed 13 euro. With an appetizer, main, dessert and champagne you’ll likely spend less than 60 euro per person. This tour does not include any transportation or any guides. They simply make your reservations on your behalf and create a pdf itinerary that does not even include walking directions between places. My group and I had issues at Pommery as they had no knowledge of our paid reservation. We eventually were allowed in after showing the tour description and proof of our purchase but it was not easy. We enjoyed each place but definitely feel ripped off. This tour is more than double the cost of everything it includes which really isn’t much difficulty booking on your own. Save yourself money.

This tour experience was AMAZING!!! The Veuve Clicquot tour and tasting was the BEST Ive ever been on. Our guide was very informative and interesting and the cellar was so beautiful to see!! The tasting was 5 star!!! Pommery was a beautiful experience as well! The special lunch at the local french restaurant was such a special experience and appreciate the chef offering a special menu for my dietary restrictions. The food was EXCELLENT!!! We appreciate Stephane and all his attention to detail and answering all my questions in advance and arranging all our tours. The day was the best we had in France!!!

We had a great afternoon with Stephane. A private tour is definitely the way to go! Stephane was very knowledgeable of the area and of champagne, and such a nice guide! We loved visiting a small Champagne producer and sampling (and buying!) their products. Stephane assisted us with the shipping back to the US, which was very helpful. I would highly recommend this tour, it is a great way to experience the area around Reims.

Unexpected. .. the driver knows all or almost all about the area. ..too well. And he made us pictures and champagne at the end.

Stephane was an amazing guide! He is very personable and makes you feel welcome. I definitely recommend his tour. We learned so from him and really enjoyed exploring the countryside. It was very relaxing and fun! We especially loved seeing the special tree that only grows in this region of France.

I booked this tour a month and a half in advanced and Stephane, the tour guide, contacted me by email. Stephane offers a private tour through the countryside of Reims in his top down sports car that offers a glimpse into the beautiful champagne countryside. Through email, Stephane was kind and responsive enough to plan my big proposal to my now fiance. Not only that, he helped get me in contact with a local photographer to capture the special moment. If you're looking for a private day out in Reims to fully experience the countryside with a born and raised local then this tour is one you will never forget. Stephane brings the comfort of not just a friendly tour guide, but the likes of a familiar friend you would visit from out of town! There is no corporate or business vibe here, just friendliness and a guy who wants to help you enjoy Reims the way he does living here.

Stephane conveniently picked up my girlfriend and I before our tour around the vineyards. Stephane was incredibly knowledgeable of all things champagne. Stephane made the tour extremely engaging and entertaining! For us, it was truly a delight driving around the Reims Champagne area and seeing all of the big and small champagne houses. Of course the trip ended with a tasting at a very beautiful area near Verzenay on the top of a hill by a champagne house with nothing but vineyards stretching across the planes. Stephen was a great tour guide who knew a great deal about the champagne region. My husband and I booked him for a two hour tour. He offered hotel pick up which was really nice considering we weren't familiar with the area. He told great stories that were really fun to hear. I definitely appreciate every sip of champagne after the tour. We will definitely book with him again when we go back.
